Anthony O’Shaughnessy IAAAC | APCP | BPS
Anthony has been working as a counsellor and therapist for over twenty years. Over these years, he has worked with people of all ages, supporting their emotional needs in times of crisis. His aim is to listen, understand and guide people through the issues in their life that have affected them in a caring and open-hearted manner. He offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental atmosphere where it becomes possible to explore problems in areas such as relationship issues, family issues, addictions, anxiety, depression, abuse, sexuality, childhood problems and bereavement. In recent years the problem of school-place and cyber-bullying and anger issues have become major issues for young people. Anthony has worked extensively with local schools to develop and deliver programmes around bullying and the problems associated with it - stress, addiction, anger management issues and emotional detachment. Anthony is Garda-vetted and operates under a Child Protection Policy. As well as working with schools he has also worked with many other agencies including the Prison Services, Aljeff Treatment Centres and Local Development Companies. The word “Rapha” is the hebrew word for spiritual healing. The cottage is a place where you as a person can be heard and fully understood with empathy and without judgement. What he deals with
