Beatrice and family of the late Connell Mc Devitt ,Loughderryduff ,Portnoo would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our families ,friends , neighbours and wider communities who supported us during our recent sad bereavement.To everyone who attended the wake and funeral,to those who sent mass cards and messages of sympathy,floral contributions and to those who travelled long distances to be with us during those days , we are so grateful to you all .
Our sincere thanks to our extended families , local businnesses and neighbours for your generosity in supplying and helping with food during the wake. To our tea ladies ,those who helped with traffic , our bus drivers and those who supplied buses , and anyone who helped in any way we thank you all.
Special thanks to Bernadine and staff and the committee at the Dolmen Centre for the use of their facilities during the wake and for the refreshments after the funeral.
Thanks to our wonderful and caring home helps who looked after Connell so well on a daily basis, to Bridie and Patricia our Alzheimer’s carers, who dedicated their time to Connell every week and to our public health nurses who carried out their duties with professionalism and care.
Also thanks to the the staff at killybegs Community Hospital for looking after Connell during his repite.
Fr.Daly we thank you so much for your spiritual visits to Connell especially in recent weeks. Thanks for your support and assistance during the wake and for celebrating the funeral mass along with Fr Aodhan Cannon.
Thanks to Connell and Sophie for the beautiful music and singing during the funeral and to Eimear at the Oak and rose florist for her lovely floral arrangements.
We also wish to thank Ciaran and Kevin at Shovlin’s funeral home for their professionalism and dignity in carrying out their duties during Connell’s wake and funeral .You made our time of sadness and grief more bearable and for that we are truly greatful. Thanks also to those who prepared the grave for Connells final resting place.
We hope this acknowledgment expresses our sincere thanks to everyone and we will forever remember your kindness and support during this time.
Connell’s months mind mass will take place in St. Connell’s Church Kilclooney on Saturday 3rd January 2026 at 6pm
