Servier Ireland

Servier Ireland Committed to therapeutic progress to serve patient needs - Located on a magnificent 60 acre site just outside Arklow, Co.

Wicklow, Servier (Ireland) Industries Ltd. was established in 1989 with just 12 staff. Over 35 years later our beautiful architecturally designed pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, whilst always maintaining its unique style, has grown and is now home to approximately 500 staff. It is the second largest site in the Servier Group network. Focusing on three therapeutic areas – oncology, cardiometabolism & venous diseases, neurology – we export to 100 above countries and are committed to providing patients with quality medicines. At Servier, we prioritise quality and safety, ensuring our products meet the highest standards. Innovation drives us to develop new treatments that address medical needs, while our patient-centric approach ensures we always put patients first.

We would like to thank Servier for their generous donation which will go towards the cost of a bus to horse riding lessons for children in our autiam class. Pictured with Ms. Russell are parents Philippe and Liam from Servier pictured with some children of Servier staff.

Last Friday morning the Servier Arklow Environment Committee visited Wildacres, just 10 minutes up the road. Always learning, we were hoping for a few ideas to bring back to site, particularly around our ponds and birdlife. Unfortunately we didn't leave with a few ideas...we left with MANY! And in addition, some serious motivation!! We were all absolutely buzzing leaving. From the moment we arrived Gilly & Brian held our interest (when we weren't being distracted by wildlife) and given half the chance we would have stayed for the whole day. We are now excitedly making plans to put all the tips & advice we were given into practice here on our site. We will keep you updated! Thanks again Wildacres 🫶👏🙌

Plenty of colourful fruit on the trees and bushes, waiting for the birds and wildlife! A stroll around our ‘Promise to Plant’* walk yesterday showed hazelnuts, apples, damsons, blackberries, rose hips, sloes and more!

*Promise to Plant is a Servier Arklow initiative started in 2012 where we promised to plant 1000 native trees a year for 10 years. We surpassed that with nearly 14,000 trees now flourishing…and bearing fruit!

💙 Servier community spirit in action!

Over recent weeks, Servier Ireland volunteers and our summer students rolled up their sleeves to give Carysfort School a fresh new look. 🎨✨

A huge thanks to everyone who took part in brightening up Carysfort in time for the new school year and wishing all staff and students a great year.

As part of our initiative (staff engaging in the community) one of our Supply Chain teams headed to the beach on Thursday to help out Arklow Coast Care . Eileen from Coast Care (pictured with the group) was delighted with the help. And sure it wasn’t all hard work, there may have been a bit of craic too 😉

Many hands (and feet) make light work.

Our hedgerows and our new cycle lanes and footpaths shouldn’t be blotted with litter. Thanks to our team of Pure Milers who are keeping it all clean for humans and nature to enjoy.

Well done to everyone who took part 👏👏. Great to raise so much for much needed services 🙏

A week of photos! A huge thank you to one of our two sponsors, Servier Ireland, they had an incredible 335 employees participate in our virtual option culminating in a huge contribution for our donation! We would not be at the level we are at today without the support of this local business. Thank you again for the support!! €89,500 in total now raised to date for our two charities Arklow Cancer Support and the Irish Cancer Society, THANK YOU!!

Our own coffee grounds ☕

We've a fair sprinkling of coffee drinkers here in Servier so a few months back we started to offer the used coffee grounds from our restaurant. Coffee grounds are great in the garden, acting as a slow-release fertilizer, soil conditioner, and pest deterrent (just keep away from pets). They are also rich in nitrogen which is great for plant growth.
