Deerpark Medical- Keeping Safe
Deerpark Medical is OPEN for all medical issues.
Like many of us over the last 8 weeks, Deerpark Medical has changed in appearance but remains the same in essence!
Patients' health needs are our Number 1 commitment.
With Social Distancing essential to the safety of us all, Deerpark Medical has changed how we deliver these in many new ways!
The Walk-In clinic is gone but the same Service commitment remains. We continue to see patients from 8am but all appointments must now be booked.
Virtual Clinics via Telephone and Video are great new ways of accessing healthcare and are available to book via Reception.
However, sometimes issues can't be dealt with via Online Consultations alone, so we continue to see patients in the Practice.
Some services can only be delivered in-person: its hard to take bloods over the phone, or to accurately measure Blood Pressure with your eyes- the old fashioned way is still the best!
So, we have changed how we do this!
The Waiting Room is gone.
Patients are brought in individually to the Practice and are unlikely to see any other patients while there.
Appointments are staggered so that Social Distance in corridors is achieved at all times.
Reception takes payment over the phone or via SMS text message so that no bottlenecks occur in hallway.
Staff wear Medical Grade Face Masks and aprons while seeing you- this protects you as well as protecting us.
All patients are triaged (screened) over the phone before the Doctor gives them an in-house appointment:
Covid19 patients or those with concerns regarding same are all remotely assessed.
Community Assessment Hubs for Covid19 patients are new clinics separate to General Practice where clinical examination and investigations can occur.
Administrative tasks like Application Forms or Letters are taken only by post.
e-Prescriptions are now standard so you can collect Medications directly from your Pharmacy 48hr after requesting.
Prescription Requests are all via e-mail (ashbournerx@gmail.com) or written posted letter.
Receptionists are not permitted to take Telephone Requests for Prescriptions- this ensures better safety of prescribing as well as freeing up Telephone lines for incoming calls.
So if you have a medical need, don't hesitate to book an appointment at Deerpark.
Things have changed in our world over the last few weeks.
How and when we see our patients has changed too.
What remains constant is our desire to provide dedicated and comprehensive care to ALL our Patients.
If you have a medical need, don't hesitate to book an appointment at Deerpark Medical.
We are Open.
We are Safe.
We Care.
