Anne Coghlan is a fully qualified psychotherapist with an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and works in accordance with their code of ethics. Anne’s areas of expertise include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, low-mood, low self-esteem, loneliness, grief/loss, relationship difficulties, infertility and family issues. She also has extensive experience working with those who have been affected by a diagnosis of ASD within the family. In accordance with her core training, Anne’s approach to working with clients is primarily ‘client-centred’ in nature. This is a non-directive approach to counselling, whereby the therapist, as part of building a trusting and empathetic relationship, helps to create the necessary conditions to allow clients access their own path to recovery and personal growth. With this in mind, Anne’s focus is to provide a safe space for each client, where they can explore their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental and compassionate environment.
