Flynns of Athlone is a family owned and managed Funeral care business which was established in Athlone in the 1961. Throughout the years Flynns Funeral Directors has built a reputation for the quality and dignity with which they carry out the funeral service. At Flynn’s we aim to deliver a personal and caring service providing both traditional and contemporary funerals for all denominations. We take responsibility for ensuring that every aspect of the funeral is organized and carried out in keeping with both religious and personal preferences. As part of our commitment to the care of the deceased, we offer and recommend the service of embalming. We also specialise in the international repatriation of remains from overseas to Ireland and from Ireland overseas as well as ‘pre-planned’ funerals and other funeral related services.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Ashley Dully
After a long illness borne with great courage and dignity.
Cypress Gardens, Athlone and formerly of Beechpark West, Athlone, Co. Westmeath,

Ashley passed on Saturday 4th April 2026, in the arms of his loving family and the care of the nursing staff of the Mater Hospital, Dublin.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Mary and daughter Jess, who were the centre of his life.

Predeceased by his parents Toni and Tom.

Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Joy, Brenda, Philip, David Thomas, Dessie and Nicola. He will be fondly remembered too by his extended family and many good friends.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand (N37 WY17) on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. A service celebrating Ashley's life will take place in the Hodson Bay Hotel (N37 XR82) on Thursday at 1pm.

Thomastown, Ballydangan, Athlone, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Arcadia, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and The South Circular Road, Dublin.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Josephine, brothers Gerard and Harry, sister Anita and Marie.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Fidelma, sons Jason, Henry, John, Saul and Joe, daughters Ruth and Mary Kate, sisters Olive and Dee, brother Liam, cherished daughters-in-law Sunny and Laura, son-in-law John, grandchildren Maggie (Roddy), Ellen-Rose (James), Paddy, Róisín, LilyAnna, Maeve, Isobel, Liam, Emily, Adam and Anna, sisters-in-law Nora, Biddy, Ann, Claire and Catherine, brother-in-law Terry, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Tully, Baylin, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Liss, Tubberclaire, Co. Westmeath.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Kevin, daughter Nora and her brothers and sister. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Marie (Keogh) and Ann (McLoughlin), sons Tom and Kevin, sons-in-law Richard and Michael, daughters-in-law Nuala and Bernie, grandchildren Darren, Nathan, Laura, Eibhlin, Ronan, Ciara and Keith, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Nancy (Slevin), nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
