On July 4th, 1999, I set out on the adventure of a lifetime, which continues to this day.
July 4th… My Independence Day 🎉
Oh the places I’ve been
The people I’ve seen
So marvellous they’ve been
Tis much like a dream.
Across the deep ocean
To Ireland’s green shore
What started as a visit
Became so much more
I’ve chased ancient symbols
Danced by moonlight
Written tales galore
Set crooked spines right
Two Goddesses I birthed
And have watched them take flight
Lived, loved and laughed
With all of my might
Born in the Ridge
Of the mountains, so blue
To my birth country, America
I will always be true
But my heart has found home
Amidst green field and stone wall
I will never regret
Answering Ireland’s call☘️
