Recognition of bravery and sacrifice.

I'm humbled and honored to be an invited guest of the Minster of Defense and COS to the medal award ceremony in Renmore Barracks Galway.

On March 8th Billy's family will receive the DSM (Distinguished Service Medal) for his selfless bravery in South Lebanon.

Private William Kedian was KIA at UNP 6-42 during fighting between Lebanese and Israeli backed factions on 31 May, 1999

I was an MSG 1 nco along with AML 90 team and Section dismounts with the battalion BMR. The battalion fire brigade or QRF responsible for supporting our troops in any contacts or compromised situations in our AOR.

That morning will stay with us forever.

Brash*t village and compound was under bombardment and very hostile.

Billy had managed to get his platoon into the safety of C Coy Bunker but as last man in was mortally wounded by Artillery fire.

Many men live today because of him.

May you have eternal rest Billy.

Never forgotten. ❤️🙏

Basic First Aid

Our 1-day basic first aid course has been designed to cover all the core principles of First Aid. It is delivered through a mix of multi-media information and practical hands-on instruction. Participants will come away with a basic medical understanding of the human anatomy, along with practical life-saving skills. The Basic 1 day First Aid qualification attained will allow candidates to operate within the workplace as a designated First Aider.

Guarding Skills Course
It is a requirement under law for anyone looking to be employed in the area of static retail to hold this licence. This training will provide students with the necessary skills as a security guard in retail, manufacturing and construction led enterprises. It is a requirement for Cash in transit employees to complete this course also.

Objectives of the course
The successful student will be able to apply for work in any area of static retail –licensed premises require a separate PSA licence.

Course Programme: QQI Level 4
A blended learning approach is used to deliver the courses consisting of 100 hours of home study, first day is registration day and last day is exam day at Dublin training centre. This must be completed before examination can take place.

Course content includes The Private Security Industry; The Private Security Authority; Law; Communications; Threats and Violence; Event Security; Emergencies; Customer Care and Personal Development The course requires two examinations on completion– a theory exam, and a practical exam relating to Guarding Skills.

QQI level 4 cert security guarding skills 4N1118
QQI level 4 Certificate in Static Guarding Skills (4N20604)
- Successful graduates will receive:
• TRF Letter for PSA APPLICATION.
• QQI Level 4 Certificate in Static Guarding Skills 4N20604.
Duration: (100 hours) first day is registration day and last day is exam day at Clonminam Business Park, Portlaoise Co Laois, R32 R624

Certificate: PSA Licence renewed every 3 years.
Students: 8 - 10

Cost and Payment:
€50 booking fee.
Plus €300 euro on registration day.
