Martin Chanders, Greenhills, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away suddenly on Wednesday 18th March, 2026. Predeceased by his mother and father Jane and Patrick (Cuddy) Chanders and his brothers Denis and Shay, sister-in-law Sheila. Martin will be sadly missed by his brothers Dom, Cha, Robert and his sister Esther, brother-in-law Ger, sisters-in-law Maureen and Patricia, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.



Martin will repose at his home 26 Green Hills (R14 Y6N1) on Sunday 22nd of March, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. Removal from his home on Monday afternoon 23rd at 3pm to Thompson’s Cremation Chapel, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins (R14 NX80) for service at 3.30pm.

Colette Keyes (née Lynott), Limewood Avenue, Raheny and formerly of Clontarf, passed away peacefully on 15th March 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tommie, parents Patrick and Nora and sister Sheila. Sadly, missed and lovingly remembered by her, children Tom, Sandra, Olwyn, Garry and Shane, grandchildren Kumaran, Callum, Maya, Luke, DJ, Smilla, Erin, Grace, Martha, Aoife and Clara, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Hilary and Pauline, extended family, Limewood Estate neighbours and friends.



Reposing at her home Limewood Avenue on Wednesday 18th March, 2026 from 4pm until 7pm. Arriving at St. Paul’s Church, Ayrefield (D13 N407) for 10am Requiem Mass on Thursday 19th March, 2026. Followed by burial in St. Michael’s (New) Cemetery, Athy arriving at approximately 1pm.

Kathleen McDermott (née Donovan), Kilberry, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Naas General Hospital on Monday 9th March, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Patricia and John Donovan, son-in-law Derek, sister Lil, brother Tommy and also Mary Donovan. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, sons and daughter, Martin, Elaine and Joseph, grandchildren James, Craig, Clodagh, Kayla, Darragh, Conor, Joseph and Maddison, nieces Geraldine and Tricia McEntee, daughters-in-law Vanessa and Denise, brothers and sisters Johnny, Narra, David, Mary and Junie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.





Kathleen will repose at Thompson's Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Wednesday, 11th March from 5pm – until the conclusion of the Rosary 7pm. Arriving to St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy, for Requiem Mass at 11am on Thursday 12th March 2026.

A private cremation service will take place later for family and close friends.

Maura Redmond, (née Fingleton), Moatfield, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away peacefully on 6th March, 2026 in the wonderful care of the staff of Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy. Predeceased by her husband Denis, her parents Jimmy and Molly and son-in-law Sham. Maura will be sadly missed by her son and daughters Mag (Mick), Caroline (John), Kieran (Sandra), Jackie (Vincent), her grandchildren A.J., Nikita, Michael, Adam, Ciara, Ashleigh, Lisa, Cody, Ross, Ryan and Abbie, great grandchildren, brothers Seamie and Mick (Annie), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ellen McCutcheon, Walkinstown, Dublin 12 and formerly Quarry Farm, Athy, passed away peacefully 25th February in Our Lady's Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Predeceased by her husband Liam, her brothers Michael, Brendan, Patsy, Jack and her sister Joan. Ellen will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters, Eddie (Fiona), William, Teresa (Kieron), Mary, Patrick (Rosanna) and Ray (Annemarie), grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Seán, Aaron and Grace, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Tommy Donovan known to all as “Docky” late of 8 St. Dominics Park, Athy, passed away suddenly on 15th February, 2026 at his home in Colchester. Predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Mel). He will be sadly missed by his step children Jeanette, Michel and Maxine, grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, relatives, extended family and friends.

Mary (Ciss) Chambers (née Whelan), Castle Park, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away peacefully on 15th February, 2026 at Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Michael, sons Harry, Willie, Declan, Robert and Donal and her brothers Ned and Andy. Treasured mother of Kathleen, Mary, Josie, Eddie, Laura, Geraldine, David, Kenneth, Brendan, Ashling, Jacinta and Damien, all her grandchildren, all her great grandchildren, and all her great great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her sister Kathleen, brothers Ger and Mick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James (Jim) Reilly of Athy, Co. Kildare and formerly of Moher, New Inns, Co. Cavan who passed peacefully at home on 6th February 2026, surrounded by his loving family.



He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Betty, son Paul, daughter Michelle, son James, daughter-in-law Faith, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Breifni, grandchildren Emma, Kayla, Amy, Christopher, and Tia, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Gregg Leddy passed away peacefully on 27th January 2026 surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his father Peter and brother David. Sadly, missed by his beloved wife Tania, his children Erica and Flavio, his mother Muriel, sister Lisa and brothers Gary and Mark, niece Grace, nephews Aaron, Kian and Finn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.



A ceremony to celebrate Gregg’s life will take place in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross on Saturday 31st January at 2.15pm.

He will be sadly missed by loving wife Anne, brothers and sisters-in-law Dinah, Paddy, Jimmy, Margaret, Michael, Agnes, Carmel, Dom and Margaret Fenlon, nephew Peter, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Walsh, (nee Duff) Crumlin, January 15th 2026, peacefully at St. James’ Hospital, Annie, beloved wife of the late Johnny and predeceased by her loving brothers John and Jimmy, sisters May and Carmel. Annie will be very sadly missed by her loving sons Michael and Johnny, daughters Carmel, Margaret Liz and Jennifer, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother Leo, sisters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours and her large circle of friends.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Friday, January 16th from 6pm till 8pm. Removal to St. Agnes’ Church, Crumlin Village on Saturday January 17th, arriving for 12 o’clock Requiem Mass, burial immediately afterwards in Bohernabreena Cemetery.
