Treat yourself and a child you love to your undivided attention in the nurturing space of TheYurt, Kilmead, Athy.
For one adult and one child age 7-13yrs
Over the 2 hours you will

Try simple mindful practices to become more present for each other, without the distractions of digital devices, ‘to do lists’ and other family members!
Settle your nervous systems with a gentle and effective breathing practice
In pairs, get creative - make a flower mandala together
Snuggle up under warm blankets, for a relaxing Sound Bath (allowing the sounds of gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls, drums and chimes to soothe away tension and anxiety)

Pamela has been teaching yoga and mindfulness to children for 14 years and has been a sound practitioner for 8 years. She creates a welcoming, easy going environment for you to step away from the every day demands of family life and spend quality time together.

Not mother, partner, daughter, sister, carer, fixer, planner, cleaner, holding it altogether person!!!

Here you will have full permission to turn your attention inwards. Listening to your body, giving yourself space to breathe in and to breathe out.

Lots of silence

But also an opportunity to sit with other women to share experiences, stories and thoughts.

We are all in transition, nothing stays the same, every day there is change, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming, frightening, heavy, dull, but we are always learning, evolving.

Tomorrow you will have the opportunity to stand back and observe where you are at, to pull the thread of the knots in your mind and body and maybe come away with a refreshed perspective.

The birds joined in the Sound Bath last night at TheYurt.

One of the added advantages of being in TheYurt is that you can still hear the sounds of nature outside (the wind, the rain, the birds) while being cosy, warm and dry inside.

Step out of the rush, leave the noise behind, and allow yourself the space to slow down.

This is a gentle day set aside for women to step back into the light and bloom!

A day to move more slowly, to release tension, and to meet yourself with kindness.

Set in the calm of the countryside, the day begins with a country walk — time to breathe, notice, and arrive. From there, we move into a gentle, accessible yoga practice to ease the body and settle the mind, followed by the quiet, hands-on rhythm of creating individual flower mandalas.

A home-cooked vegetarian lunch will be shared around the kitchen table — nourishing, unhurried, and grounding.

We’ll close with a healing sound bath meditation, allowing the body to rest deeply and dissolve the heaviness of winter.

This retreat is for women who feel a little disconnected, stretched thin, or simply ready for a pause. You don’t need experience with yoga or meditation — just a willingness to show up as you are.

What’s included:
– A welcoming herbal tea

– Home-cooked vegetarian lunch
– Sound bath meditation

This retreat isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about giving yourself the time and space to come back to what’s already there.
