It is that time of vear again! Havfever affects 10-30% of the population. It is an allergy to pollen.
Symptoms Sneezing Runny Nose witchy watery eyes Coughing
Many of the OTC drug treatments are suitable while breastfeeding. Including Antihistamines, Nasal Spravs and Eve Drops.
Antihistamine tablets: Claritvn is the preferred medication. Zirtek reaches low levels in breastmilk and is recommended.
Nasal Sprays: Beconase, Filiconase and Rhinocort are all recommended.

Eye Drops: Opticrom is safe for breastfeeding.

Other non medication strategies are putting vaseline around vour nose to trap the pollen. Shower after being outside. Vacuum and dust your home regularly. Eat local honey. For more information check out factsheets

I am on a rant! I actually can't believe that Mum's are still being told that breastmilk is only for comfort after 1 year and has no nutritional value.....WTAF!

Snack feeds....they aren't a thing with breastfeeding. A feed is a feed and breastfed babies should always be fed responsively.
