There are large sections of our garden dedicated to support bees, insects and wildlife by being left grow wild for almost a decade. Pat and Mary Gaynor started this and we will continue to keep it going. We love it, especially this time of year

We are inspired by Cliona's Foundation and all they do for families with seriously sick children in every county in Ireland. Please tune in on Thursday April 21st at 9pm on Virgin Media 3 to watch a documentary which tells the story of a number of families they have supported. We are very excited that the garden at The Wellwood Centre is waking up after the winter. Maurita and Phelim remain open for Physiotherapy patients and hopefully we can announce more happening once we are allowed to open fully. Take Care!

We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to buy The Wellwood Centre from Pat and Mary Gaynor just before Christmas and we love it here. We are so very grateful to the Gaynors for creating such a beautiful and healing place. While the Gaynors have left, all the fun and energy they put into the place, still remains. We will continue to use the Centre and gardens as they originally intended, to provide a place to heal and rejuvenate. Maurita’s Rivercrest Physiotherapy Clinic, previously in Graiguecullen, is on the list of essential services and opened its doors here in January. We are very grateful to all the Rivercrest patients for following Maurita and Phelim O’Neill out to Wells! We will post an update with future plans for the Wellwood Centre when we know more! This is our final post. Although The Wellwood Centre closed its doors last March, we closed the doors to the house, Centre and gardens for the last time last Wednesday, 9th December. We were really sad to say goodbye to what has been our little patch of heaven for over 20 years. From a greenfield site in 1999, through the 15 years that Advanced Coatings operated from there, to the setting up of The Wellwood Centre, we have been both busy and happy.
Eric & Maurita Delaney and their family moved in on Friday 11th December. We heartily welcome them and wish them both happiness and success. While we are sad to go, it is probably the gardens we will miss most. They are a sanctuary not just for the abundant wildlife, but for the soul. We will miss the green space and the trees and the changes the seasons bring. However, the Delaney family's beautiful energy makes them the ideal custodians of this lovely patch of land.
Maurita is already well known in Carlow and nationally, as a physiotherapist and 'Body Talk' therapist. She previously ran the River restaurant Physiotherapy Clinic in Carlow.
Thank you to everyone who has worked in, or attended classes or therapies at the Centre in the past. We wish you all a peaceful and safe Christmas.
