Download UniPeer and connect with like-minded students !!!

So how does the app work?

1. Download the app
2. Verify your TCD email
3. Fill out your user profile, including your preferred way to be contacted (e.g. Instagram, messenger etc)
4. Get potential matches
5. Click connect!

When a mutual connection is formed, then you will be able to access each other’s social media handles and start up a conversation! 🤳

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to UniPeer so far, we are absolutely delighted by the reaction the app has received!

If you haven’t already downloaded UniPeer, now is the time!! It’s a chance to meet more people in Trinity and connect with like-minded students! You can download the app via the link in our bio - UniPeer is available on both iOS and Android 😎

For those already on the app, we will be sending out a newsletter to your tcd emails very soon with more info on how to get the most out of the app and also how to pass us on any feedback you might have! According to a study conducted by the USI in 2019, before the pandemic, close to a third of students in Ireland have had a formal mental health diagnosis.

This clearly shows that mental health issues and feelings of isolation are not new for students - the pandemic has just amplified them 🔊

Regardless if teaching is remote or in-person this upcoming academic year, we want students to feel a sense of belonging at their university 👥

Hi everyone, we are UniPeer! The team is made up of Heather, Ciarán & Dylan and we are all students at Trinity College Dublin. We are delighted to have been accepted to the LaunchBox 2021 start-up programme this summer, which will allow us to develop our platform.

We have all experienced social isolation first-hand this year and it has galvanised us to take action. Due to the lack of face-to-face contact because of Covid-19 restrictions, there is a need to find new ways for students to connect. Our solution is UniPeer.

UniPeer is for university students experiencing loneliness. It is a college-wide platform that facilitates peer-to-peer support, connecting students based on shared experiences and interests.
