We recently spent a day at Delta Sensory Gardens in Carlow — and it was such a wonderful, inclusive experience that we had to share!

These award-winning gardens offer a peaceful, sensory-rich environment that's perfect for children with additional needs. From beautifully planted paths and calming water features to the amazing sensory room where fountains move to music — there’s something for everyone.

Children go FREE and adult entry is just €5
Fully wheelchair accessible
Café Thyme is bright, spacious, with delicious treats
There’s also a lovely gift shop and garden centre

The staff are warm, welcoming, and truly understand the needs of diverse families. Whether you’re a parent, carer, or part of a support group — this is a space where you can truly relax.

Highly recommended for your next family day out!

Really enjoyed an insightful presentation today from Meg Ferrell (see Learn Play Thrive) during the Neurodiversity Summit 2025. Her perspective on neurodiversity and meaningful support was both thought-provoking and practical.

If you haven't already, check out the "Two Sides of the Spectrum" podcast—which has valuable conversations and fresh insights for anyone interested in neurodiversity-affirming practices.

Our mission is to provide resources and continuing education trainings that promote the use of strengths-based, ethical, neurodiversity-affirming practices for professionals working with autistic people.
