Delighted to have visited a secondary school in Achill Island on Wednesday. It was a fantastic opportunity and I got to share so much important information about hormonal health, nutrition, exercise and stress control and my favourite, the body-mind connection.
Check out this post on my instagram for further information on what the senior girls gave feedback on what they learnt most from the education talk✨️😊..

In the past 2 year on using Body Code and Physiotherapy combined in practice on a weekly, mostly daily basis, this a lovely case study I want to share with you.
I have had the priviledge of looking at 60 sessions in the area of pelvic floor issues in these 2 years. The results are often this fantastic, so I will contunue to blend offerings where ladies are open in those I feel would benefit.
Such a beautiful weekend, hope ye enjoy the sun😊✨️..

I have a little offer just out this evening in my Body Code work.
I am so happy when I am doing this work alongside my physio career which is almost 29 years now on the go!
There is something magical about the information I gather whilst Body Coding and then with the Physio head as well, partnering with my patient so much more transformation becomes possible.

If you feel called to work over a 2 to 3 month period of time on something of real importance to you and your health, email me at doreen@doreendempsey.com
I will take on about 3 women on packages every month or two, so a little wait list will be there too.
🙏✨️..

On this International Women’s Day, I take a moment to appreciate how lucky I have been in the year gone by. The photo in this post reminds me of one of the high points in recent times, being back to stay in Achill with my wonderful friend Joanna for a second time in a year to co-host Soulful Self-care Sunday. We hosted 12 fabulous women in Septermber 2025 and very much replenished our souls as well in the process!

Women turning up for women, never gets old, nor does us women turning up for ourselves.

I very much witnessed this sentiment again just under 10 days ago when I took myself off to a Symposium in Mullingar which was a national event for practitioners dealing with Continence Care in Ireland. As a group of primarily females: nurses, physio’s and doctors primarily we were encouraged during the last talk of our day to shine a light on the work we do and to appreciate ourselves for working diligently and wholeheartedly with the continence issues we come in contact with. The progress in this field of medicine can oftentimes feel slow and it is a deep journey, yet giving ourselves that little shout out was important. Almost like an exhale and a hug to the heart.

I could feel tears well up, when Tara Rafter aka the 'Navigation Coach' was so touched by stories she had heard all day before she waited until the day's end to speak. She expressed that when she heard of real human stories that were highlighted such as one patient finishing with her use of continence pads after 42 years, (age 32 to 74, following the birth of her first child). A real story shared about a patient working with her continence nurse in Clontarf hospital, she knew there was so much amazing work being done in healthcare everyday. Meaningful, lifetouching work.We need to never slow down on this journey, empowerment and education for women is worth too much.

I am lucky that I believe in the power of women and how we can support each other too. I have been part of different groups over the years both personally and professionally. These days it’s the Mumboss network online and the local Knitwits knitting and crochet gang in Balla. Friendships are there too and that feels so good.

We all need a sense of belonging. And, I know that there are hectic chapters in our lives where we feel that there is no time to give that space to ourselves, but this is when you need it all the more.

Decompression is so much I believe part of health and happiness in today’s modern world. So, do yourself a little favour and DECIDE what it is you are going to give yourself in the line of this type of comradery or support going forward. It may be a little event you attend in the next month or two booking that evening out with your friends for the spring/summer of 2026. You know what it is. Please remember, you matter too! Enjoy the rest of IWD 💕.

I've been a bit quiet in the past month.
Busy like us all with Mom and work life.
Just a little re-introduction for especially those who don't know me well yet.
Cannot believe we're heading to Christmas. My physio diary is busy right into the first fortnight of December, where did the year go?
I am planning 2 more breathwork sessions before Christmas, one on Sunday Nov 9th and then again on Dec 7th.
I'm also due to visit a secondary school for almost a day in a few weeks time offering education and practicals on tapping especially for exam stress and giving the senior girls a 101 on pelvic and hormonal wellness. Looking forward to that.

Hope everyone is enjoying snuggling up for the Winter evenings, I know I have the knitting needles back out making a chakra colourful blanket and enjoying the little project.. 😊..

World Mental Health Day.
It's a part of life that has been in our radar over the years.
I now look at it with a deeper perspective since seeing things from a body, mind and most importantly soul perspective.

Using Body Code with Physiotherapy over the last 3 years has been eye opening.
Check out my insta post today on how much our adrenal glands and fascia are stressed by life and how our body keeps the score.

Checking in with what's going on inside is so important.
Keeping taking the little pauses 💕..

This year the theme of World Physiotherapy Day focuses on the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in healthy aging, with a special emphasis on prevention of frailty and falls.

It is great to have the opportunity to assist patients in empowering them to look after the 5 S's of Fitness over the years...

Strength
Suppleness
Stamina
Skill &
Speed.

The skill of balance/proprioception is such a gamechanger in this age group.

So many are really willing to take on board our advice to keep strong and fit for as long as possible.

It's never too late to make a start and a difference 😊.

It has been a fast summer. Can’t believe we’re soon back to routine. My diary has been quite full with 75% capacity during June to August with schools off..

Just a little update on what’s on offer with me these days in Balla at my medical centre location.

I have 4 Breathwork sessions planned for the next few months.

We go back to Balla Inclusive Hub next Sunday evening 24th from 7 to 8.30pm. We skip September as I’ll be busy with the second Soulful Self-care Sunday retreat on Sept 14th myself and friend Joanna Gooding will run. We’re really looking forward to this and busy planning.

All the physiotherapy and holistic services on offer are also on the headings above.

Currently, I am looking through all the sessions of Body and Emotion Code I delivered throughout 2024 and the results have been so rewarding and it continues to weave its way through my monthly work on average 20 to 30 times, patients are really open to it.

If you want to avail of one of the last couple of spaces in Breathwork this Sunday, email me at doreen@doreendempsey.com 😊.
