🫀 Three New Defibrillators Installed in Ballaghaderreen 🫀

Ballaghaderreen Town Team has installed three Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) across the town as part of an initiative to enhance public health and safety. The project, costing €5,000, aims to ensure quicker access to lifesaving equipment in the event of a cardiac emergency.

📍 Locations:

Garda Station, New Street – Eircode F45 TR98

The Library, The Square – Eircode F45 K763

The Clinic, Pound Street – Eircode F45 Y099

Each AED is housed in a temperature-controlled cabinet, with access code C123 displayed on the window.

The units are also being registered with the National Ambulance Service, allowing emergency callers to be directed to the nearest AED when providing their Eircode.

Patricia Madden of Ballaghaderreen Town Team said the project represents “an important investment in the health and well-being of the community.”

Funding for the initiative was provided through the Local Enhancement Programme 2025, which supports projects aimed at improving public services and infrastructure.

Residents are encouraged to participate in AED/CPR training sessions to help ensure as many people as possible are prepared to act in an emergency.

✨ Weekend Win 💤

We don’t usually work Saturdays, but last weekend we made an exception for someone who’d been struggling with a severe headache and dizziness for over two weeks. They’d already been to their GP, A&E, and were waiting on MRI results — but in the meantime, the pain and anxiety were ramping up.

We focused on calming the nervous system using sound healing and gentle dry needling around trigger points. The goal was simple: help them relax enough to finally get some proper sleep.

And it worked 🙌 They got a full night’s sleep, felt real relief the next day, and didn’t need painkillers — which was a huge win in itself.

Of course, it’s vital to continue the medical route too, but giving someone that bit of relief while they wait can make a world of difference. 💜💙
