Ballina carers Support Group
have had a busy year with members participating in courses in manual handling, pottery and yoga . Speakers have kept us informed of Carers right and entitlements, self care with Healing Hands and aromatherapy. We have held fundraising event and members have taken part in Mini Marathons to raise much needed funds. We have of course had social outings to help alleviate the isolate and loneliness so often felt by carers. Our Christmas and Easter lunches are very popular with both members and those we care for.
To finish up before we break for the summer
we enjoyed our annual day out. This year to Westport, transport provided by Corcoran Bus, thank you John and Jemma. It was a very lovely day with members enjoying a relaxing spa treatment at Spa Sula, the thermal suite and outdoor hot tub were amazing.Thank you Sarah and Breifin. Then lunch in Coveys restaurant at the wonderful Plaza Hotel , thank you Ed and Jason. A short spin on Dever Bus Hire with Conor to the boat tour of Clew Bay with Westport Cruises, a very enjoyable trip with a lovely crew full of knowledge about the islands. Thank you Tom and Greham. Then on to dinner in Charlies at The Tower, we were treated to excellent food and service in a beautiful location. Thank you Jamie and Sarah.
A big thank you to all the people that helped make the day so enjoyable.

All our events are only made possible by the amazing support we receive from organisations, local businesses and wonderful people.
Our gratitude and huge thanks goes to you all.
