Well done to Kelsey Langan who this Sunday morning beat the Croatian champion in the first round at the Zagreb Boxing Queens Tournament. The photos show Kelsey giving her opponent a standing count also. This after kelsey had struggled with illness for the past 9-10 days which really affected her tournament preparation with her boxing coaches is a remarkable achievement and just goes to show the mental strength of this girl. Well done to all her club coaches at Ballina Boxing Club Mayo

S.T.O.P Don’t believe all the electrolyte bu****it you see on social media. Kids in the main do not need electrolytes, despite all the “fun” videos you see of kids jogging and drinking this stuff after “to aid performance”.. (unless a Dr recommends)

Irish Protein is the best protein, don’t eat south American imported meats. Here’s why..

The “Mercosur meat deal” refers to parts of a broader trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and the Mercosur bloc (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay) that are focused on agricultural products — especially meat. Here’s a breakdown of what the deal is, why it’s controversial, and what the implications are.

What is the Mercosur Meat Deal?
1. Trade Quotas for Meat
• Under the agreement, Mercosur countries would be allowed to export 99,000 tonnes of beef per year to the EU under a preferential tariff.
• About 55% of that quota is for fresh/chilled beef, and 45% is for frozen/lesser-value beef.
• The tariff for beef under this quota is 7.5%, which is lower than the usual (much higher) out-of-quota tariffs.
• There’s also a quota for poultry: 180,000 tonnes of poultry meat from Mercosur would enter the EU duty-free.
• And pork: 25,000 tonnes, with a certain in-quota duty.
