The Ballina Soroptimist Club are holding their Annual table quiz Friday 30th January, with proceeds going to the Ballina Order of Malta.

We would like to sincerely thank them for their continued support — it is always greatly appreciated. As always, we look forward to seeing everyone there.

It promises to be a great night and excellent exercise for the mind 🧠👏

🎉 Huge congratulations to Luke Watson 🎉

We are absolutely delighted to congratulate our very own Luke Watson on graduating as an Intern Paramedic with the National Ambulance Service. This is a fantastic achievement and one that reflects his hard work, dedication, and commitment to caring for others.

We are all incredibly proud of him as he begins this next chapter of his career.

🚑 Busy Day on Duty 🚑

Our members were on duty today, making it a busy and rewarding day for the unit.

We provided cover for a 5k charity run in Knockmore, with Jonas and David on duty, and another 5k charity run in Ardqgh, covered by Jimmy, Sean and Stephen.

Proud to be keeping our community safe this St Stephen’s Day 💚

🎄 Last Cadet Meeting Before Christmas 🎄

Our cadet unit held their final meeting before Christmas this week, and what a great way to wrap up the year! The cadets enjoyed a relaxed get-together with some tasty pizza, plenty of laughs, and lots of good fun all round 🍕😄

A big thank you to everyone for their hard work and commitment throughout the year. The cadets will be back in the New Year, refreshed and ready to begin a new training regime as they prepare for upcoming competitions and duties.

Pat and Jonas had the pleasure of providing First Aid cover for the annual Belleek 10k Road Race recently. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️✨

This fantastic community event donates all funds raised to local charities, and this year’s beneficiary was the Sunflower Children’s Hospice — an organisation doing truly incredible work for children and families in need. 🌻💛

We were honoured to play a small part in supporting such a meaningful cause. Well done to all the runners, organisers, and supporters who made the day a success

🎄 Cadet Regional Day Out – Galway 2025 ❄️⛸️

Our Cadet Unit had a fantastic time on our Regional Cadet Day Out in Galway! 🎉
We explored the Christmas Markets, soaked up the festive atmosphere, and finished off with plenty of fun on the ice rink. ⛸️✨

From skating (and a little sliding!) to festive treats and team challenges, everyone got involved and supported each other throughout the day. It was a brilliant opportunity for team building, friendship and creating great memories together. 🤝💙

A big thank you to all Cadets and leaders who attended and helped make the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure! 🌟

Tonight, our members attended a Mass for deceased members which was celebrated in Knock.

This Mass is held each year to remember those who have gone before us, dedicated people who gave their time and service to our organisation.

We honour their memory respectfully and with deep gratitude.

May they Rest in peace.

Our members were delighted to provide event cover at the lighting of the Christmas lights in Ballina today. It was a truly lovely evening, full of festive spirit, smiling faces, and community cheer.
