🌟 Order of Malta Ballina Youth Members Shine in Killarney! 🌟

Today our youth members proudly took part in their first senior competitions in Killarney. They participated in the Standalone Team Competition, the Individual First Aid Competition, and Home Nursing, and truly showcased their skills, dedication, and teamwork at a whole new level.

We are super proud of these young people – not only are they a credit to themselves, but also to their families and our wider community. πŸ’™

Well done to each and every one of them! The hard work and effort they’ve put in really shows, and at the end of the day it’s taking part and stepping up that counts the most. πŸ‘

Ballina Unit attends the Annual Order of Malta Pilgrimage – Mass at Knock Basilica

Coming together in Knock Basilica for our pilgrimage Mass was a very special moment for us as an organisation. The setting gave us a chance to pause, reflect, and share in the sense of unity that being on pilgrimage brings.

The celebration reminded us of the values at the heart of the Order of Malta – supporting one another, caring for those in need, and building friendships through service. It was also a time to think of those who could not be with us and to carry them in spirit as part of our community.

Being together in Knock strengthened our bonds and renewed our commitment to continue our work with kindness, dedication, and compassion. It was an uplifting experience that we will carry with us beyond the pilgrimage.

πŸš‘βœ¨ As part of our annual pilgrimage to Knock Shrine today, our vehicles were blessed.

This blessing is a cherished tradition, giving us the chance to come together as a community of volunteers, friends, and supporters. It’s a moment to reflect on the year gone by, and to look ahead with renewed strength, knowing that our vehicles, our work, and all those we care for are held in prayer.

We’re grateful for the ongoing support of our community and for the opportunity to share this special occasion with you all. πŸ’™πŸ™

πŸš‘ Join Our Team – Become a Cadet Leader! πŸš‘

Our Order of Malta Cadet group is growing fast β€” we even have a waiting list of eager young people who want to join! 🩺✨

To welcome more of them, we need new leaders who can give just 1–2 Fridays a month (7:00–8:30pm). No prior experience is needed β€” just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to help guide and support the next generation of first aiders. Training and support will be provided.

Being a leader is a rewarding way to:
βœ… Help young people learn life-saving skills
βœ… Develop your own leadership and teamwork
βœ… Make a real difference in your community

If you’d like to get involved (or even just find out more), please message us here β€” we’d love to hear from you! πŸ’¬
