Joyce Little - Art Psychotherapist

Joyce Little - Art Psychotherapist IACAT registered Art Therapist based in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Why choose Art Therapy? Do I need to be good at art? No, not at all!

IACAT registered Art Psychotherapist with considerable experience of working with children, adults, vulnerable individuals and groups, those with learning difficulties and mental health issues. Some of us find it difficult to verbalize our thoughts, feelings and emotions. Art Therapy is an intervention that provides the opportunity for nonverbal expression and communication. By drawing or visually

expressing your feelings, even if you can't identify or label your emotions, we will have a starting point from which to address your issues. Art therapy is about self-exploration, healing and not about making 'good' art. Prior experience or skill in art is not required in order to successfully engage in art therapy. Who can benefit from art therapy? Whether its issues surrounding grief and loss, addiction, PTSD, chronic illness, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, domestic violence, mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, trauma - anyone can benefit from exploring their issues or concerns through the medium of art therapy. I am passionate about creating safe and containing spaces to encourage you to explore a method of deeper understanding. I cater for individuals and groups, children, teenagers and adults.
