The focus turns to theatre this week with Balor Developmental Community Arts (DCA) production of the classic Brian Friel play Lovers - a powerful exploration of love at its highs and lows.

In Winners, teenage lovers Joe and Mag are full of energy, humor, and dreams, yet fate casts a shadow over their joy.

In Losers, middle-aged lovers face the weight of routine, duty, and lost passion, showing love’s more suffocating side. Friel captures the thrill, the heartbreak, and everything in between.

one of Ireland's longest running established original emerging music nights featuring sets performed by some of Ireland’s best new musical talent 🙌 Muireann was opening that night for my dear friend Grainne Duffy Duo 🎸🎸 & it was there where I first encountered Muireann Bradley performing live for my very first time...🎉

🤔 I do recall Grainne being incredibly & intensely captivated by this young ragtime country blues guitarist & singer on the night, as we all were, as we all intently listening to Muireann...👏 I also recall Grainne taking & making time before her own performance to speak with Muireann & her folks. This photo is a lovely memory of that night 🥰 Little did we know at the time that Muireann was to guest on Jools Holland Hootenany only weeks later on NYE 2023!! 💖✨️🌟 It just goes to show, you never know what's around the next corner!! 🎊 Stay tuned for more, folks!! 🎉🙌
