Yoga with Pabs Certified Yoga Teacher in Glenville, Co.Cork area. I stumbled into a yoga studio over a decade and a bit ago where my main objective was to get fit.

Here to share my yoga journey with you through movement, meditation and breath awareness, in order to improve our general well-being making our day to day lives a bit easier. At the time I knew very little about yoga, but that first class had me hooked. Through the practice of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, I felt all the many benefits of yoga internally and that also showed on the outside. It has since been my passion to share this ancient practice with anyone (of any age) to experience for themselves what yoga has to offer. As well as providing a whole range of positive effects, yoga brings pleasure into our lives- you can explore and get to know your own body or yourself as whole. Qualified as a Yoga Teacher in Hatha, Transformation, Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Yoga Teaching with Health and Wellbeing, my classes are individual orientated meaning I work with whoever is in front of me rather that a set class plan which might not suit everyone. My holistic approach focuses on creating harmony and unity between mind, body and energy. Yoga is such a broad area of study constantly evolving and I am forever a student

🙏Year 5 teaching Yoga Yay💪🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️!! I am so grateful 🙏. I have continued to deepen my learning during this time, and how I teach now is different from how I taught then.

🙏The new season starts on the 9th of September: Tuesdays at 7pm for those who want to improve or want to return to yoga.
Saturday mornings are for absolute beginners.

✨️If you struggle or find it difficult to settle while meditating, finding an object to focus or visualise on something that will bring you to the present moment, a use of a candle like this can be helpful.
✨️You can start by noticing the colour of the flame, the shape, the flickering, the outline, and maybe if you go a little deeper, you may even see more shapes appearing from within the wick or even the bigger glow.
✨️Whatever you observe or you feel at this time is your mindfulness, your awareness, your stillness, and your meditation. Smile close eyes and visualise that golden light from deep inside your heart. You will be surprised when you open your eyes how long you've been sitting there, as the candle maybe long gone at this stage.
✨️Remember to sit with your spine lengthened and relaxed.

✨️This is one of the poses that you will practice in yoga with Pabs classes. It has personally helped in strengthening my lower back and releasing tension in my spine. We practice this along with other similar movements. Practised regularly, you gain the above benefits and more.

I just found this "conversation starter" by Alexandria Crow while scrolling on social media. And I thought so many of us worry about our physical appearance, abilities, or age, and we forget that yoga is for EVERYBODY, not just for the thin, flexible, well-abled man/woman of a certain body or athletic ability.

It also occurred to me that most people tend to join classes of teachers who are or look slimmer. But what we fail to realise is that as we practice postures, breathwork, and meditation, we are deepening the relationship with ourselves, connecting body and mind. This in turn relaxes our inner turmoils and struggles, bringing us closer to a holistic experience regardless of how we look physically.

What are your thoughts on this 🤔.
