Mary Maughan (née Wehrley), Shore Road, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, peacefully, after a short illness borne bravely, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Galway Clinic, surrounded by her loving family on 24thNovember 2025.
Beloved wife of Frank (recently deceased) and dear mother of Karen, John, Emer and Elaine. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken children, adored grandchildren Jack, Laura, Dylan, Grace, Daragh, Isabella, Lauren, Thomas, Lucas and Clara, sons in law Paul, Pat and Mamadou, daughter in law Siobhan, only brother Vincent, and sisters in law Kay, Ethna, Dymphna, Mairead and Julia, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends.
Mary is predeceased by Frank, her parents James and Ann (Nan) Wehrley, her uncles Dom and Andy Hastings and her aunt Mary Hastings.

May her generous and beautiful soul rest in peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Wednesday, 26th November from 6.30 – 8.30pm. Funeral will arrive in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.

Anthony Reilly (better known as Tony), Aughadoone, Belmullet , Co. Mayo peacefully, at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar on 23rd November, 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Bridget, brothers Jimmy, Tom, Jack, Mick and Pat and siter Mary Dixon.
Beloved uncle to John, A.J. and his wife Lie, Eamon, Breege, Anthony, Majella, Michael John, Bernie, Thomas and Teresa and dear brother-in-law to Frank Dixon. Her will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, his special grandnephew Eli, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friend.

James Gaughan (better known as Seamus), Emlybeg North, Belmullet and formally of Mitchem, London peacefully at the Áras Deirbhle Nursing Home, Belmullet on 22nd November 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Malachy (Lacky) and Ellen (née Coyle) Gaughan and his niece Rita.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, sisters Bridie, Mary, Shelia, Annie and Josephine, brothers Paddy, Frank, Richard (Dick) and Malachy, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Patrick James Mangan, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England and Meadoran, Geesala, Ballina, Co. Mayo, aged 61 Years, passed away peacefully, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on 1st November, 2025.
Preceded by his father Frank and his brother Francis.
Beloved husband of Maria, dear father of Sean, Breedge and Kelly, grandfather to his cherished grandchild Lochlan, adored son to Mary Lilly and dear brother to Mary, Sheila, Breedge and John Francis. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Alicia, Breedge and Kelly’s partners Pat and Iain, brother-in-laws John Munnelly (Geesala) and Patrick McDonagh (Geesala), his sister Breedge’s partner Owen, sister-in-law Mary, uncle Jimmy, aunt Barbara, uncle-in-law Peter, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Eddie O’Boyle (better known as ‘Ned’), Lincolnshire, England and formerly of Piper, Ballymacsheeron, Binghamstown, Belmullet, Co. Mayo in his 92nd Year, surrounded by his loving family at the Neale Court Care Home on 14th October 2025.
Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, son Patrick, parents John and Kate O’Boyle, siblings, nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by his loving family, his siblings, nieces, nephews and large circle of friends.

Jim Harkin

The Claddagh, Galway and formerly of New York City and “The Thatch Pub”, Headford, Co. Galway – passed away peacefully at the University College Hospital, Galway in the loving arms of his wife Rita on 13th October 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret Harkin, brother Kiernan and sisters Margie and Annie.

Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife Rita (née Monaghan, Blacksod, Belmullet), sister Winnie, brother Frankie, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and many friends.

Whitmore Way, Waterbeach, Cambridge, England and a native of Tallagh, Ballycroy, Co. Mayo peacefully at the Arthur Rank Hospice, Cambridge after a sudden illness in his 82nd year surrounded by his loving family. on 10th October 2025

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen (née Cosgrove, Coolaba, Geesala).

Beloved father of Penny, Sarah and Eileen and cherished grandfather of Liam, Caitlín, Billy, Donnacha, Tony, Harry and Kate. He will sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his sons in law Declan Barrett, Joe Shevlin and Glenn Addison, and also missed by Gay Smith, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.
