May is Skin Cancer Awareness month, focusing on educating people about the risks of skin cancer and the importance of early detection.

It’s Organ Donor Week!

Organ Donor Awareness Week takes place from 16th to 23rd May. The Irish Kidney Association theme for this year is ‘Don’t Leave Your Loved Ones in Doubt!’. The key message is to ensure we all make sure our own wishes about organ donation are clear to our family and loved ones. Sharing our wishes when we are in good health prevents more stressful conversations later.

At any one time in Ireland, there are at least 600 people on waiting lists for organs. Making your wishes clear now can make a huge difference to someone in need of a life-saving transplant.
