Mother Elder outside my window echoes to the sound of chirping and squabbles as the sixth brood of baby starlings feast on the bumper crop of berries she has so graciously given this year.

I'd hoped to harvest some for jam but it was clear as soon as they began to form that they were for a much bigger purpose, as a whole colony of starlings, wood pigeons, collared doves, and a plethora of smaller birds feasted to feed their young.

Looking around, the woods are filled with a bumper harvest of fruits, a sure sign the winter will be hard, but also a sign that Mother Nature supports her children and provides for the families of dwindling species to grow and flourish as they face the onward march of man.

We've complained of no summer, of having to change plans when the rain has poured down, but consider the wild creatures, the birds, all existing outside in the elements.

We as mothers, can never know the struggles the wild creatures bare. Loss of children to predators, rain washing away nests and drowning chicks. Same goes for the burrowers, and the ones who make their homes in the hedgerows, flooding, predation, danger from man, and construction.

Next time you see a wild creature, stop for a moment, and consider how they survive outside in the world, while we scurry for the safety of houses, they contend with the worst of weathers, and still they sing, bring up young, and bring joy to our world.

Teaching us lessons we forgot we needed to learn.

THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HEALING CIRCLE

What a fantastic day to spread our healing intention, love, and voices outward in a massive joyful vibration to the entire world.

LOCATION

BIRR CASTLE DEMESNE

We meet in the castle courtyard at 2.30pm where our wonderful stewards will guide you to the circle ground.

WHAT TO BRING

SOMETHING TO SIT ON, JACKETS, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND A SMALL NATURAL OFFERING FOR THE CEREMONY A LEAF OR FEATHER WILL BE GREAT.

The grass will be a bit damp after the rain so make sure you have something to sit on, there's nothing worse than a wet butt 🤣

We really encourage you to join in with the drumming and singing, it doesn't matter if you think you can't sing, you can clap hands, stamp your feet just have some fun

The whole idea of the WORLD'S BIGGEST HEALING CIRCLE is to create an atmosphere of joy and love to spread outwards to the entire world, and the more joy we feel the more we raise the vibration in the world.

Eileen Bray, The fabulous Celtic Kirtan will definitely get us going with her amazing music. She has so kindly composed music especially for the event, and will lead us in traditional chants, songs and music. Eileen incorporates different languages, and cultures into her set and truly embodies the fact music is a universal language that cuts down boundaries and connects all nations.

Sean and Jen will inspire us with their beautiful healing vision for The Forgotten Horses. They are our nominated charity this year so please donate what you can to the buckets the stewards will have. But please remember nobody expects a donation, it's purely what you feel you can give, and if you can't we understand, it's hard enough to manage these days as it is.

And while we're in that beautiful relaxed state after listening to such inspiring speakers, the beautiful Tara Treacy will lead us in a gorgeous mini yoga session to heal our bodies and bring a real sense of wellbeing and calm to us all. This session is suitable for all ages and those with physical disabilities can join in too.

And I'll be there to lead the ceremony too

Get in the mood to celebrate the World's biggest healing circle

Bring your drum, your instruments, your blanket, your healing intention, and some small natural things that move with the air, a leaf, a feather, a flower, your voice, anything at all as long as it's natural and can return to the earth.

We meet at 2.30pm Thursday August 8th at the courtyard in Birr Castle Demesne, our fabulous stewards will gather you all together and lead you to the Circle around the O'Carroll oak.

We begin with a sacred ceremony to honour the earth, the elements and all of nature's creation.
This is where your natural things are offered as thanks to the earth, and the healing vibration begins its journey to every rock, tree, river, blade of grass, every mountain, valley and ocean.

We move on to celebrate with music and voice led by the beautiful Eileen Bray, the Celtic Kirtan as we raise the vibration even further.

The voices of Sean and Jen remind us about the healing vision needed to heal ourselves and our planet as they speak from the heart of the Forgotten Horses healing sanctuary.

Tara Treacy then leads us in a gentle yoga session to ground our bodies and bring us back to the loving arms of the great mother.

We end with a prayer and chant to set the healing intention and send it out to wherever it's needed.
