DID YOU KNOW… your yoga practice doesn’t need to be long to be powerful?

One thing my own teacher instilled in me—and something I now share with students again and again—is this:

👉🏼 It’s not about the quantity of practice…
It’s about the quality you bring to it.

You know that voice that says,
“Oh, it doesn’t really count unless I do a full hour…”
Yeah, that one?
You can lovingly release it now 🌀

A few intentional breaths, a simple sequence done with attention, with presence… can hold just as much transformation.

I adore the structure and beauty of the Ashtanga practice—practicing and teaching it continues to be such a grounding pillar for me.

But my practice has also evolved over time.
Through my shamanic explorations and embodied teachings, I’ve come to feel that through Asana, we’re embodying expressions of the universe itself:

🌞 Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) reminds us of our relationship with light, energy, renewal.
🌊 Ardha Matsyendrasana (Spinal Twist) teaches us about spirals, fluidity, and letting go.
🌙 Balasana (Child’s Pose) brings us back to surrender, to earth, to the womb.

These shapes… these movements… are portals.

And I love weaving this wisdom into the way I teach—in-person and online.

Did you know I offer yoga, mantra, and meditation within my 1:1 coaching work too?

We don’t just move for the sake of it—we co-create a practice that fits your life, your season, and what you’re being called into.

Sometimes it’s asana.
Sometimes it’s mantra.
Sometimes it’s just learning to breathe again 🌿

Wherever you’re at—I meet you there.
And we grow something beautiful, together.

I never would have started truly listening to the plants if it wasn’t for…

✨ The lotus mandala I tattooed on my skin years before I understood why
✨ The unexpected synchronicities, dreams, and symbols that kept appearing
✨ The deep ceremony where I felt the Lotus in my being, whispering a path I didn’t yet know I would take

And then I met Jennifer—who had also been meeting the Lotus in her own way, in her own time.
Our journeys were connected before we even realised it.

Because that’s how plant allies work.
They don’t force their way into your life.
They arrive when you’re ready to listen.

When the Lotus, Mugwort, and Hawthorn first entered my awareness, I was deep in grief.
I had just lost two family members.
I wasn’t seeking them—they came to me.
Subtle at first. In books. In dreams. In quiet whispers.

And just like the Lotus, I was in the mud.

✨ Grief is murky. It’s all-consuming. It slows time to a stillness.
✨ And yet, even in the darkest waters, something was reaching for the light.

Last week I spent time on a 1:1 plant initiation retreat with Jennifer, a woman deeply devoted to ceremony, plant allies, and the subtle energies that weave through the unseen.

Together we sat with Mugwort, sang to the Lotus, walked the land in reverence.
We honoured the cycles. The sacred reciprocity between human and nature.
The art of receiving what is already there.

And in those moments—through the medicine, the silence, the song—something ancient stirred.
A remembering.
A knowing that presence is the gift.
That grief, like muddy water, holds nutrients for new growth.

Because the truth is…

✨ Nature is always speaking to us
✨ The land is in relationship with us
✨ The more we attune, the more the wisdom reveals itself

This is the work Jennifer holds so beautifully—guiding others into deeper communion with the natural world, the unseen, and the ancient knowledge whispered by the Earth’s oldest teachers. 🌳🪷🌊

“Yeah, I lost 12kg… but it’s pretty cool how feeling good in my head mentally and emotionally draws in more confidence than the physical. I’m exuding happiness and having more positive experiences in my interactions with people.”

When this client first started coaching, they thought weight loss was the goal.

But the biggest transformation? It had nothing to do with the number on the scale.

👉 It wasn’t another diet.
👉 It wasn’t doing the most intense workouts.
👉 It wasn’t waiting to feel motivated.

Here’s what actually changed everything.

Motivation isn’t missing—it’s just not always driving the actions we want. Human behaviour is always motivated—whether it’s to rest, avoid discomfort, or protect energy.

The key is understanding what fuels your actions and shifting your approach to make movement work for you. When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to think, I’m just not motivated enough. But here’s the truth: motivation is always there—it’s just not always aligned with your goals.

If movement feels like a struggle right now, here are three ways to shift the energy:

1️⃣ Focus—What’s driving your actions today? Are you seeking comfort, avoiding challenge, or protecting energy? Recognizing your current focus helps you realign with what you want.

2️⃣ Curiosity—Movement doesn’t have to be rigid or repetitive. What feels interesting or fulfilling to you right now? Exploring something new, like a hike, a walk in nature, or even a slower form of exercise, can reignite your connection to movement.

3️⃣ Momentum—Big plans often stall when life gets busy. Instead, start small—one simple action you can take today, like putting on your shoes or stepping outside, can help you build confidence and consistency.

And don’t underestimate the power of support. Whether it’s a walking honey, a coach, or a community, having someone to lean on makes movement more enjoyable and sustainable. Movement doesn’t have to look perfect—it just has to feel aligned with where you are right now.

What’s one small step you can take today to reconnect with your body?

Consistency isn’t about perfection—it’s about being relentlessly present with yourself.

When life gets hectic, healthy habits like exercising or eating well can feel hard to stick to. But here’s the thing: It’s not about doing everything perfectly every day. It’s about meeting yourself where you are and choosing what feels supportive in that moment.

💡 Real consistency isn’t rigid—it’s fluid and adaptable. It’s about showing up for yourself in a way that reflects both your values and your reality.

✨ Here’s how to make consistency work for you:

1️⃣ Identify your baseline minimum—the smallest step that feels supportive (like 2 minutes of stretching or simply pausing to breathe).

2️⃣ Create flexible options so you always have a way forward, no matter the circumstances.

3️⃣ Celebrate how you’re showing up—not just for what you’ve done, but for the way you’ve listened to your needs.

4️⃣ Focus on how you want to feel, not just what you think you should do.

Some days, showing up might look different—less action, more reflection. And that’s okay. It’s not solely about relentless pursuit but about embodying your growth while honoring exactly where you are.

Which of these steps will you try this week?

When you say, ‘I just need to lose weight,’ are you really saying, ‘I don’t know how to nourish myself in a way that feels good for me’?

💡 Here’s the thing: Most of us were never taught how to care for ourselves in a way that feels doable, supportive, and aligned. We learned about exercise through performance (hello, PE class nightmares) or crash diets, not through understanding what actually makes us feel strong, energized, and at home in our own bodies.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice, stressed trying to do it perfectly, or unsure where to even begin—know this: You’re not failing because you lack willpower. You’re simply navigating an overload of information and expectations while unlearning old habits and trying to create new ones.

✨ Imagine moving your body in a way that energizes and excites you.
✨ Imagine eating in a way that feels freeing, not restrictive.
✨ Imagine learning how to truly nourish yourself, without stress or second-guessing.

This is exactly why I do what I do—because I’ve been there. And now, I guide others through the same process of unlearning the noise, relearning what works for you, and building skills to nourish your body, mind, and soul.

🌱 Want to know more about how this could look for you? I’m sharing helpful tips and insights over in my stories right now—because this is about so much more than a diet or quick fix. It’s about feeling at ease in your body and your life.

Drop a 🌱 in the comments if this resonates, or head to my stories to take the first step toward unlearning and rebuilding.

I’m a coach who teaches balance, but I haven’t always lived it.

I’ve scrolled endlessly, chased quick solutions, and stretched myself too thin in ways that left me feeling unfulfilled. Not because I didn’t know better, but because I was searching.

Searching for connection.
Searching for joy.
Searching for freedom.

The truth is, knowing what’s “good” for you doesn’t always mean it’s easy to follow through. And that’s okay.

Because here’s what I’ve learned: Aligning with the life you want takes more than willpower or discipline.

✨ It takes courage.
✨ Courage to reflect on your patterns and what drives them.
✨ Courage to question the influences around you.
✨ Courage to discover what truly fuels your body, mind, and creativity.

It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. When you start finding alignment, you stop chasing what the world told you to be—and start creating the life that actually feels like yours. 💛

Do you feel like life is just too busy to make time for yourself? 💭

Between work, family, and all the other stuff, it’s easy to think, “I’ll start exercising when things calm down.”

But here’s the truth: life doesn’t slow down for us—we have to create those moments.

✨ What if I told you 10 minutes could change everything?

One of my clients felt the same. She was busy, exhausted, and overwhelmed at the idea of “fitting in exercise.”

So we kept it simple: 10 minutes of movement a day.
At first, it was just a quick stretch or a short walk. It didn’t seem like much. But then something amazing happened:
👉 She started to feel more energized.
👉 Those 10 minutes became part of her routine.
👉 She felt stronger, more confident, and less stressed.
👉 Before she knew it, she was following a full training program that fit perfectly into her life.

💡 Here’s the key: It’s not about doing everything all at once. It’s about showing up for yourself in small, sustainable ways. That 10-minute block? It’s the foundation for something bigger.

🔑 Action step for today:
1️⃣ Open your calendar.

2️⃣ Block out 10 minutes for movement—anything you enjoy: a walk, yoga, stretching, dancing.

3️⃣ Drop a 🕒 in the comments and let me know what time you’ll start!

Remember, persistence beats perfection every single time. Your future self will thank you. ❤️

Today is Friday the 13th, a day long associated with the Goddess, divine feminine energy, and the cycles of life. As I reflect, I’m filled with gratitude for the women who have nurtured, held, and circled with me on this journey. To be truly seen and to hold others in return feels like the most magical, circular exchange of energy—a reminder of what it means to live in deep connection.

Living in this feminine body has been a profound exploration. It’s not just about navigating hormonal cycles or tuning into physical needs, though that in itself requires a skillful attunement. For me,It’s about fully embodying the alchemy of masculine and feminine qualities within me and embracing all the nuanced expressions of being a woman in these times.

I’ve learned that understanding ourselves—whether in a woman’s body or any body—starts with observing nature. Just as the earth moves through seasons, we do too. By attuning to these rhythms, we come to know ourselves more clearly. Sitting in stillness, breathing deeply, and letting our senses come alive connects us to the subtle, innate wisdom we carry.

This wisdom is not something we’re taught in school. “Listen to your body” isn’t an intuitive concept for many of us; it’s a skill we must learn, a language to decipher. And that process—learning to hear, understand, and honour the body’s signals—is true empowerment.

In my work and life, I’ve been leaning deeply into this practice of active compassion, embodying the energy of the Bodhisattva—like the goddess Quan Yin, Tara, Brigid, or Durga. Compassion is not just kindness; it’s an all-encompassing passion that can transform lives. And yes, there’s real science behind compassion now, supporting behavior change and well-being!

To truly embody the subtlety of living with presence—moving beyond just thinking and quantifying—requires more than the mind. It calls on the heart, the body, and a deep connection to the earth.

Whatever body you travel in, we’re all children of this earth, each on our own path of learning and relearning how to live more harmoniously. Today, I celebrate that journey of growth. I celebrate you, me, and the goddess energy flowing through us all 🪷

We all have a reason behind our wellbeing journey. But have you ever paused to ask yourself, what’s yours? 🤔 Is it to feel stronger, healthier, or more at peace? Or maybe it’s about being capable and confident in everything you do.

Finding your own reason can make a world of difference, even if it is to confidently squat a carton of milk on your head ♥️

When we lose sight of what drives us, self-care can feel like another chore. But when we know what motivates us, every action we take becomes intentional and powerful. 💡

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Sorcha who embarked on a journey through time and space and enrolled in the curriculum of Earth School...

She followed the expected path—school, society, trying to fit in and find her place in the world. Along the way, she absorbed ideas and standards from her environment, education, and ancestry—ideals that felt distant, and frankly, didn’t even feel like her.

These expectations left her mind tangled, a difficult place to inhabit, so she sought escape wherever she could. But that path led to unhappiness. Eventually, she realised a profound truth: To truly flourish, she ought to make this temporary home - mind-body vessel - a thriving place to live.

Now, through SOZEN, she co-creates spaces for others to explore the inner mysteries of the self and to discover tools that support the mind and body on this wild and paradoxical journey of being human. 💁🏻‍♀️👽

Hehe, I share this snippet of my story in the third person because I’m excited to weave my personal journey into these offerings. 🌛I invite you to join me next week at West Cork’s Feel Good Festival, where we’ll explore together.

Come and be part of the adventure.🧚🏼‍♀️
See you there!
