Very proud to have supplied DefibTech LIFELINE AEDs to M**f Community CFR programme in Donegal. Congrats to Paddy Walker and John McShane, NAS Community Engagement Officer on getting this off the ground and wishing the selfless volunteers all the very best for their efforts in helping to save people from Cardiac Arrest as well as Stroke, choking and Heart Attack.
Important Update!
We are now fully operational and responding to calls assigned to us by the National Ambulance Service. Although we've only been live for a few days, we have already been tasked to three medical emergencies. This highlights just how essential Community First Responder (CFR) groups are.
Here are a few common questions we've been asked over the last few months so we thought we would answer them on here also to prevent confusion
Q1: How do we contact you?
A: You don't need to contact us directly. When you call for an ambulance, the National Ambulance Service will automatically task us—but only if the medical emergency you're experiencing falls within our scope of practice.
Q2: What kind of calls do you attend?
A: We are dispatched to emergencies such as heart attacks, cardiac arrests, strokes, and choking incidents.
Q3: What hours are you on call?
A: Like all CFR groups, we are on call 24/7.
We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us on our journey. We've received incredible support from local businesses as well as the wider community.
We would also like to thank.
Naomh Pádraig GAA Club, M**f for their continued support by allowing us to use their Clubhouse for or training.
Attached is a picture of or hugely dedicated CFR volunteers with some of the kit purchased from your kind donations.
Thank you all again 👏👏👏.
