Trio Elisse® Sting Free Skin Barrier is a hypoallergenic silicone formula that builds a protective barrier between your ostomy wafer or base plate and your skin. It protects the skin from the strain caused by regular removal of your ostomy appliance. If stoma output comes into direct contact with skin that’s already sore and damaged, it can cause further irritation, so Elisse also protects the skin from corrosive body waste.

We weren’t happy with just protecting the skin, we went one step further to ensure our skin barrier formula actively soothes the skin too, helping to stop skin soreness and itchiness over time. The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin is the oldest continuously operating maternity hospital in the world established in 1745, and one of the busiest in Europe.

Last week Ceannaire Medical were proud to attend the annual Autumn charity lunch to raise funds the Rotunda foundation. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all.

Does your stoma gel leave a sticky residue that's tough and painful to remove?
Trio Silken™ silicone gel is made with Sil2™ Breathable Silicone Technology. Sil2™ supports the skin’s natural barrier function and allows the skin around your stoma to breathe and heal by protecting it from irritants.

Only a small amount of Silken is needed, apply it straight from the tube to the affected area around your stoma where the leaks occur. There’s no need to spread the gel or wait until it’s dry, simply apply your pouch in the normal way, placing it directly onto the moist gel. Silken will solidify slowly, remaining soft until the creases and gaps in your skin have been filled through normal body movement.

Silken is easily removed when you change your pouch, leaving no residue.
