These slides tell you a bit about how I work. I combine: person-centred therapy, energy psychology, solution-focused therapy and neuroscience. I help you understand why you might be feeling or acting the way you are. I can also help you release the frozen energy structures that might be limiting your capacity for change. When you worry, you are stepping out of the present moment and into a future that may never exist. Most of the time, the things we worry about never come to fruition. Neuroscience tells us that worry can become habit. By breaking the habit, you program your brain out of rumination and back into celebration (gratitude). This is like putting your money into a savings account instead of gambling. Why pay off debts that have yet to be accrued. Set yourself free from worry by creating new mental habits. Interrupting your thoughts and replacing them with something more constructive is a good place to start. Don’t aim for perfection, aim for attention. Noticing is a great achievement in itself.

Sometimes we tend to get bogged down in bad news. It’s what they put on tv and in the papers after all. But what if you tried, just for one week, to shut out the bad news and instead searched for good news? I do this all the time - and there’s good reason for it. It doesn’t make me ignorant of what’s happening in the world. Anything important, I hear about from family or friends. What it brings me instead is peace and hopeful outlook. By actively seeking out good news, I fill my days with wonder and am comforted that there are so many people out there doing great things. Try it. I dare you!

Sometimes we tend to hold ourselves back from success because of fear of judgment or failure. But it is in our nature to bloom, to grow, to inspire others. Our heart strives to be open, just like the petals of the blossom. Then the wind carries the petals of our influence far and wide to decorate and enrich the world. As Spring brings nature back to life, consider what is hibernating in you that it is ready to be seen again.

Integrity is where you show your best self in action. It’s more than honesty or truth. It’s alignment. It’s about knowing your values and walking that path with courage, even when the wind blows against you. A flower cannot be anything but itself. It cannot lie about its identity. It cannot swindle or cheat. It stands in it’a rawness and vulnerability, doing all it knows how to. The flower teaches us that fragility and softness can be powerful and grab our attention. Don’t be a thorn when you can be a flower.

Wishing is an interesting thing. It gives us such hope and imagination, while at the same time leaving us with disappointment. Whilst the wonder and awe of wishing can be a fabulous thing, it can also enable us to shift the blame for everything that is wrong in our lives. If we took responsibility, instead of throwing our future to the stars or magical beings, we may find we have much more of what we want. Although manifestation can be powerful, remember that everyone trying to sell you their secrets to good fortune put in a lot of effort and planning. You must take action in the direction of your dreams, just as much as you must picture them. What step could you take today to move towards your wish?
