After a week hosting a wonderful group from Visconsin, it was amazing to slow down and get back to my mode of looking at beautiful sunset and sunrise with awe.. it’s that state of being I want to cultivate as much as possible even when life is busy.. 💜🙏🏼💜

After all the rain a stunning calm morning.. autumn equinox - a still point of perfect equilibrium between light and dark… but… where was Rusty I wondered. He’d usually walk around with me…

September is here and with it your chance to get back to yoga. The Iyengar yoga method gives you the right foundation if you are a beginner, as the focus is on proper alignment and understanding.
In my intermediate class we work on different aspects of the practice each week, we work on inverted asanas regularly to make you strong in them, and we have a restorative class once a month.
I welcome experienced practitioners of other yoga traditions.

The annual Autumn Equinox Retreat is coming up fast (19 - 21st September). It is time for blackberries, apples and lots of other harvests, physical, but also internal. You know I paint.. it’s my therapy, other than yoga. I don’t post all my paintings here as I don’t want to bother people who are not into art..
but this one is of the mountains at the back of the yoga studio right now..
the mountains are purple and velvety with heather and I love purple.. so I really went for it here! 😁 For more of my art you can visit my other Martina Durnin account

I reckon that the summer pretending that I don’t need to post anything, do anything, be anywhere, just enjoying a bit of free time.. is over this week.
It’s back to school uniforms, time keeping, planning, working, and all that jazz.. and that’s life. I always come to this time of year with the intension to keep a bit of that free summer vibe going… will it happen this time?
