Class planning for January is in full swing.
πWHAT TO EXPECT FROM CLASSES?
Each class will have a warm up to get the body ready for the routines. This is so important to loosen us up and prevent injury. Some people may have done little to no movement all day, or may have spent time in the car prior to class. The warm up is essentially for loosening the limbs and slightly elevating the heart rate.
πWHAT DANCES WILL WE DO?
Over the 6 week term, we will learn routines in:

πΊSalsa
πΊCharleston
πΊTango
πΊWaltz
In every class, we will do a maximum of three dances. This is to give you the chance to learn different dances (You may like some more than others, or be better at some than others ;) )
The dances will be repeated and by the end of the 6 weeks, you will have routines in all of the above.
The dances will be repeated over the term.
π WHO CAN ATTEND THESE CLASSES?
These classes are suitable for adults who would like to learn to dance in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. There are limited numbers per class in order to allow lots of space for people and to give more attention to individuals.
These classes are danced solo. You do not need a partner. Who needs the inconvenience of a partner? π
However, all the steps we do are all real dance steps and can be done with a partner so you are learning all the moves yourself.
If you have come to classes before with me, these may feel slightly different as will focus purely on the dances mentioned above and will build on the routines weekly.
They are suitable for people at the beginning of their fitness journey and you do not need to have experience in dance to attend.
The pace of the class will build as the class goes on but this pace will be achievable for all. This class is geared towards beginners and people who want to build more movement into their day.

5-10 min warm up
15 mins per dance (approx)
5 min cool down
π WHEN ARE THE CLASSES
Mondays at 6pm in The Apothecary Ogam Oils
Beginning 13th January for 6 weeks.
πWHAT DO YOU NEED
Comfortable clothes, runners and water.
