Acknowledgement - Month's Mind Mass - Marion Doherty, Eleven Ballyboes, Greencastle

We, the family of the late Marion Doherty wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us on the recent passing of our much loved mother, grandmother and wife Marion.

Thank you to all those who called to our home, attended the wake or funeral or both, sent sympathy/mass cards, offered donations, travelled long distances or remembered us in prayer, we are deeply grateful.Your kindness and support brought great comfort at a very difficult and sad time.

We would especially like to thank our immediate and extended family, neighbours, friends and those in the local community who provided and helped with food and refreshments. The generosity, support, and care shown will never be forgotten.

A sincere thank you to each of mums carers, your compassion, kindness and patience, made a meaningful difference to her life and brought us comfort as a family. A particular word of gratitude goes to Mary from the palliative care team and Etain the public health nurse. We will forever remember the care, kindness and dignity they showed to her and to us.

A huge thank you to Eamonn from Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director for his kindness, professionalism and empathy.
To Father O’Doherty for celebrating the beautiful requiem mass for Marion and to everyone who participated in the mass.

Predeceased by his wife Cecilia and his sister Gladys.

Much loved father of Michelle (Raymond) and devoted Granda of Amy, Niamh and Leah.

Sadly missed by his niece and nephew, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

George's remains are now reposing at his home where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Tuesday (September 30th) at 10.20am for 11am Funeral Service in St. Columba's Church Drung, followed by Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Much loved mother of John G (Breda), Eileen (Martin), Mickey (Maureen), Charlie (Patricia), Dee, Oliver (Michelle).

Devoted granny of Jonathan, Claire, Declan, Niamh, Daragh, Conor, Owen, Colin, Lila, Ashley, Chloe, Kaitlyn, John, Laura, Alanna, Michaela and great grandchildren.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister Nancy (Boston), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

We the family of the late Dan Lafferty wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us on the recent passing of our much-loved Dad, Granda and Great-Granda Dan.

To everyone who called to our home, attended the wake and funeral, sent mass cards and sympathy cards, offered donations, travelled long distances or remembered us in prayer, we are deeply grateful.
Your kindness and support has brought great comfort at a very difficult time.

We especially thank our extended family, neighbours and friends and all those who provided and helped with food and refreshments. The generosity and care shown will never be forgotten.

A special word of thanks to the Ambulance staff, the doctors and nurses in Letterkenny Hospital. We will forever remember the care, kindness and dignity they showed to Dad.

Thank you to Dr. Kelly of Millbray Surgery in Carn who cared for Dad.

We are so grateful to the gravediggers for all your
care in preparing the grave for the burial of our Dad.

We would like to extend our thanks to Fr. Kilpatrick for conducting a beautiful funeral mass and thank you to the sacristan and altar servers.

A special thank you to Joanne and Finbarr for providing the beautiful music and hymns which added so much warmth and comfort to the mass.

We are truly grateful to Eamonn and Liam of Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director for their care and professional support, guiding us with such respect through every step of Dad's wake and funeral.

Our thanks to the Fisherman's Inn for providing the food and the Glengad Community Centre for providing a welcoming space after the funeral.

Acknowledgement - Month's Mind Mass - John James Ward, Mill Glen, Glencrow, Moville.

We, the family of the late John James Ward would like to express our deepest thanks and gratitude with all who sympathised and support us on the recent passing of John James.

To all those who called to wake, helped at wake, sent mass cards, travelled, to our neighbours, friends and everyone who left donations.

To Father O’Doherty for the funeral mass and Shunie for the beautiful music and to everyone who participated in the mass.

A huge thanks you to Eamonn and Liam from Eamonn Mc Laughlin funeral services for their kindness, professionalism and empathy.

Thank you to Owen and Marie McGinley for providing all the food and refreshments during the wake and after the funeral.

We, the family of the late Billy Hyndman wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us on the recent loss of the much loved and cherished husband, devoted dad and grandfather, Billy.

To everyone who called at the home, attended the wake and funeral, sent mass and sympathy cards, offered donations, travelled long distances or remembered us in prayer, we are deeply grateful.
Your kindness and support brought great comfort at a very difficult and sad time.

We especially thank our immediate and extended family, neighbours, friends and those in the local community who provided and helped with food and refreshments. The generosity, support, and care shown will never be forgotten.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, Garda Síochána and the funeral directors who attended to Billy and supported the family with great dignity and professionalism.

A special heartfelt thank you to Rev John Farren PP for his spiritual support, help and guidance and for celebrating the beautiful requiem mass for Billy. A special mention to Billy’s cousins and fellow musicians for the truly beautiful musical input to the service. Thank you to the church sacristan and the grave diggers for their role also.

Predeceased by his parents Bridget and Eugene.

The peaceful death has taken place at Longfield Care Home, Derry, surrounded by his family of Fr Michael Keaveny, formerly of Moville, St Columb's College, and the parishes of Galliagh, Omagh, Killygordon and latterly of Faughanvale Parish, Co.Derry.

Predeceased by his parents James and Bridget and his brothers and sisters, Fr Laurence, Paddy, JJ, Peter, Brendan, Anna, Chris, Mary and Bernie.

Deeply regretted by his brother Vincent and sister Eileen (Farrelly), nieces and nephews and extended family.

Sorely missed by his brother Priests, Bishop of Derry Diocese - Bishop Donal McKeown, remembering also his devoted housekeeper of 47 years, Ms Nancy McCallion, who died on September 1st 2025.

Requiescat In Pace.

Fr Michael's remains will arrive at Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale this evening (Friday) at approximately 6.15pm for reception prayers.

Removal from there tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm going to the home of his niece, Dr Lucy White, 2 Church Terrace, Moville (F93 D2KN) where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Monday (September 22nd) at 11.30am for 12pm Requiem Mass in St Pius X Church, Moville followed by Interment in Ballybrack cemetery.
