Although the locks are not long lifted at GAA fields across the country, one sports physiotherapist believes the inevitable spike in injuries among club players has already begun.

I will be reopening the clinic from next Tuesday 2nd June. You can now book an appointment with immediate effect.

Obviously there are now strict guidelines on how we operate the clinic so I have the relevant PPE and instructions set out below

Hope everyone is safe and well 😊

Just a quick update on the past week's online sessions:

Covered a wide range of injuries from ankle to backs to shoulders this week. And guess what no hands on treatment needed. How?

Integrated breathing techniques for those troublesome back injuries to get that rib cage down and taking some of that extra load of the back. It's something I've integrated in to the clinic before this shut down and luckily it has stood me in good stead for this difficult time. Glad to say improvements were made almost instantaneously in all cases involving the spine this week. Likewise we can apply this to shoulder, pelvis, groin and hamstring problems.

Along with providing detailed videos of all exercises it has provided much needed relief and guidance for each patient.

Week 2 out of the clinic environment but the show must go on. Over the past week I have begun with online consultations which of course is different and at times challenging. However the current climate might continue for sometime yet. So we all must adapt so here is what I have done to help clients over the coming weeks:

Set up a platform for online consultations

Created a bespoke exercise library with almost 200 exercise videos for all types of injuries

Weekly follow up with each client

FREE initial consultation

I appreciate these are challenging times for everyone both financially and emotionally but it can also give people time to sort out injuries before the activities begin again.

In line with HSE recommendations I am not seeing clients in person until directed. I hope this will be March 30th but essentially this will depend on the evolving situation.

In the mean time I am currently working on conducting online sessions via Skype/ Zoom. I hope to have these operational by Thursday or Friday. What does this involve?

- Online consultation
- Breakdown of treatment plan
- Videos of Exercises to be completed by client
- Weekly appointment
- Apps needed are Zoom/ Skype

Please note the clinic will remain open for the foreseeable future in line with HSE recommendations.
Please note the following guidelines for patients:
- Please do not attend the clinic if you are feeling unwell or displaying flu like symptoms
- Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer provided in waiting room
- If you wish to cancel your appointment please call in advance and we can reschedule
- Note all clinical appliances are disinfected after each patient.

With extra time on peoples hands we can use it to treat those niggling injuries 😊
