❄️🌕 Tomorrow’s cold moon arrives carrying one of the most powerful lunar energies we’ll experience for nearly two decades — a full moon aligned with the moon’s rare 18.6-year standstill cycle.

In ancient times, healers and earth-keepers watched this cycle closely, trusting it as a marker of deep energetic reset. tonight, we’re offered that same invitation.

During a major lunar standstill, the moon reaches the furthest edge of its path, stretching its light to its most extreme height or lowest arc depending on where we stand on the earth. This makes the cold moon feel bigger, brighter, and energetically sharper than the typical winter moon.

It's the kind of celestial moment that encourages us to slow the breath, soften the nervous system, and reconnect with what the body has been quietly holding.

🌍 How it will appear:
⬆️ Northern hemisphere (including ireland): the moon will rise unusually high, its light clearer and more expansive — ideal for grounding practices, reflection, or gentle end-of-year release work.
⬇️ Southern hemisphere: the moon will sit low and glowing near the horizon, radiating a warm lantern-like presence.

Energetically, this moon supports:
✨ releasing emotional residue from the year
✨ reconnecting with your inner rhythm
✨ strengthening boundaries
✨ resetting the breath and nervous system
✨ honouring your own cycles of rest and expansion

When: 4th December 2025
Peak energy: shortly after moonrise in your local time.

Simply step outside, place your feet on the earth if you can, breathe deeply, and let the body and moon meet each other halfway. 🌕✨

Reflexology isn’t just relaxing. Studies show it can lead to real, measurable changes in the body.

A review published in National Center for Biotechnology Information looked at what happens physiologically and biochemically when people receive reflexology. Here’s what they found 👇

✅ 1. Stress hormone levels can change
Several studies showed reductions in cortisol (the body’s main stress hormone) and salivary amylase after reflexology. Lower stress = better balance for many systems in the body.

❤️ 2. Heart rate and blood pressure may respond
People often experience a calming effect — including lower heart rate and blood pressure during or after a session. This reflects activation of the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) system.

😊 3. Improved relaxation and emotional wellbeing
Participants consistently reported feeling calmer, more centered, and less anxious after reflexology. This isn’t just subjective — some studies observed measurable shifts in physiological markers of stress.

⚠️ Important note:
These changes don’t mean reflexology treats or cures disease. But they do show that what happens during a session is more than surface-level pampering. It can support the body’s natural stress regulation pathways.

A relaxed body has more capacity to heal, regulate, and restore balance. Reflexology supports the body’s natural balance by encouraging deep relaxation and reducing stress. Small shifts inside can make a big difference in how you feel on the outside.

🌍🦶 It’s World Reflexology Week! 🦶🌍

From 22nd–28th September we’re joining practitioners and clients all over the globe to celebrate the power of reflexology. This special week is about shining a light on the benefits of reflexology, recognising the skills of professional reflexologists and helping more people discover how this gentle, holistic therapy can support their wellbeing.

Reflexology works on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands and ears correspond to different organs and systems in the body. By applying precise pressure to these reflex areas, a trained reflexologist helps encourage circulation, support the body’s natural processes and restore balance - making it much more than “just a foot massage.”

Whether you’re a practitioner proud of your work, a client who already enjoys the benefits, or someone curious about trying reflexology for the first time, this week is for you. We’ll be sharing facts, myths, tips and real-life benefits of reflexology every day.

💜 Let’s celebrate reflexology together and spread the word about how it can help every body.
