The Rockwell College Union and in particular Class of 1988 are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Keith McCorry.
Keith attended Rockwell between 1983 and 1988.
During his time in Rockwell he forged lifelong friendships, he was part of the canoe team but like any proud Kilkenny man he was always seen with a hurling stick in his hand. Keith left Rockwell after the leaving cert, walked out the gate turned right and headed for New York, this was to be his home for close to 40 years.
Keith was very close to his friends in the class of 1988. He always made the effort to attend class reunions and impromptu meet ups particularly around All Ireland Weekends. He was instrumental in bringing back the Union New York Dinner in 2023 and then again in 2024. He was such a generous and outgoing character, very much admired by his classmates. He will be deeply missed by all his pals from 1988.

We send our deepest condolences to his wife, Breda; daughter, Kirsten; and son, Hugh along with the wider McCorry family.

Last Saturday 3rd May, on a beautiful sunny evening, we gathered in Rockwell for a truly memorable celebration. The event brought together 370 past pupils spanning eight decades, from the 1950s to the 2020s, to celebrate 100 years of the Rockwell College Union. The Main Hall was buzzing during the drinks reception, as Rockwellians from across the generations reconnected and took a trip down memory lane. See some photos from the event below.
