A parent's instinct always knows the 'types' of cry. Trust, empower and be true to your 'knowingness'.🙏

Babies cry. There are a lot of different reasons why this could be – they could be hungry, tired, need a nappy change or have colic/reflux. But one of the reasons that is often overlooked is pain.

A baby’s body is the same as ours, just smaller. They can experience muscle aches, inflamed tissues, and pain from headaches, earaches, or tummy troubles. They experience discomfort the same way that we do but they can’t tell us about it. So, they cry.

If your baby is crying excessively, there is a reason for it. Seek help & advice 💞

Our physical bodies are emotional expressions of life, our bodies speak up when emotions are overloaded and difficult to process. 🙏
Children express their emotions in their most honest form. Hence Osteopathic treatment can palpate these emotions that are present in the body and rebalance the child.🌻

Did you know that emotions can have a physical impact on your body? 🧠

Happy moments release endorphins, while stress triggers cortisol or adrenaline. Different emotions lead to our brain secreting various chemicals which can cause physical tension.

Greta's experience is a powerful example. When her grandfather passed last year, she internalised her emotions.

“Last time we came in, you worked deeply emotionally," her mother told us "We had a sudden bereavement in the family and Greta took it hard. She wasn’t showing how she was feeling – well she was but not in a helpful way. There was a lot of rage.”

It's crucial to recognise that children, like Greta, can undergo physical reactions when dealing with loss or an emotionally difficult time.

Oliver has a condition which means he often struggles to concentrate for long periods of time - and this was affecting his schooling.

"After coming here for treatment, he is very calm," his father, Darius told us. "He is much calmer for days after the treatment. Maybe for 3-4 days after. He listens more instead of getting upset. The treatment has improved his fidgeting at school. He’s much more focused. They’re very nice people here. Very helpful. They advise and support us a lot!”
