🧪 Why do some carpet stains “come back”?

The first photo shows a common issue called wick-back. This happens when:

Spills pe*****te deep into the carpet backing or underlay.

During cleaning, moisture pulls the residue back to the surface.

As the carpet dries, the stain “wicks up” and reappears.

How we prevent it:
✅ Controlled moisture – we use truckmount extraction with powerful vacuum for maximum recovery.
✅ Acidic rinse – to neutralize residues and stabilize colors.
✅ Grooming and proper drying – ensuring stains don’t return.

The second photo is the result after correcting the wick-back issue – clean, fresh and bright.

What a fantastic night in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel for the Network Ireland Mayo Businesswoman of the Year Awards with 41 Finalists in 7 Categories. So delighted to be selected as the Winner in The Networker of the Year Category, from 12 Finalists, so there was some very stiff competition.

🧼 Cleaning should be seen—and respected.

We were absolutely privileged to joining colleagues, allies, and advocates at the European Daytime Cleaning Alliance conference in Brussels on 12 and 13 June, where we’ll push for a shift toward daytime cleaning across Europe.
The meeeting consisted of a full day conference on Thursday at the and was followed on Friday with a meeting in The European Parliament. Good progress was made.

As an employer we have a morale and social responsibility for the wellbeing of staff to promote daytime cleaning where this will work; and guide and train our staff and clients to adapt to this new way of working. Accepting change for the better of all, where this change is possible.

We discussed:
✅ Improving the recognition of cleaners
✅ Tackling harassment and unsafe night shifts / travel and transport
✅ Promoting social inclusion through visibility
✅ Secure decent work via socially responsible public procurement

Together, we explored - how making cleaning visible can help build fairer workplaces—and stronger societies, better teams.
