Una Egan Creative Wellbeing

Una Egan Creative Wellbeing Creative Wellbeing offers you a range of stimulating workshops designed to nurture you and your personal, social, and professional wellbeing. The list goes on!

Do you feel ‘good enough’? Or do you feel under pressure to be better - as a parent, as an employee, as a carer, as a woman, as a man? Or pressure to be smaller, bigger, younger, wiser, richer...? At the core of Creative Wellbeing's approach, is the belief that we are all ‘good enough’. But when we become separated from that feeling of being good enough we struggle to know who we are, who we were or who we might become given the chance. Creative Wellbeing facilitator Una Egan, encourages you to give yourself a chance to gently re-connect with ‘you’, to gain confidence in your interactions with other people, and to increase your overall sense of self-worth and possibility. I recently completed a Music Imagery course online through Sonora Interdisciplinary Organisation for Music and Therapy. The programme is run from Greece and I was able to do it online thankfully (one of the benefits of Covid lockdowns!). The aim of the programme is to use music and imagery as supportive tools at times of stress, anxiety, pressure, etc. We can't always get away for a holiday but we can give our minds a little holiday through engaging with music and art. It was a great course and I look forward to bringing what I learned into my work. . Thank you to Westmeath CoCo Arts Office for funding this Music Imagery course under their 2021 Artist Bursary Grant.

2020 was an incredibly tough year - yet it was not without its blessings - this Holstee guide offers a good way to review the year - warts and all!

2020 was a year unlike any other. More than anything, it felt like a blur. When I think back to where I was in January and February, it feels like a lifetime ago. Perhaps that’s why it feels even more necessary to take some time to recall and reflect on how I spent my time in this unusual year.

This is an exhibition of masks made remotely by families during the second level 5 lockdown. It gave participants an opportunity to express themselves creatively and be part of a project if they were cocooning. The project was funded by Creative Ireland, Westmeath CoCo and WCP Mullingar. I hope you enjoy it. Una
