We were delighted to welcome Leona Maguire to St. Christopher’s Hospice recently, on Thursday 17th July 2025.

The Ballyconnell native, and Irish professional golfer, is the proud patron of St. Christopher’s Hospice. It was the first time she was on-site to see the new and exciting plans for our building project.

Today marks a major milestone in palliative care services. Tánaiste Simon Harris TD and Niamh Smyth TD turned the sod for the new hospice inpatient unit at St. Christopher's Hospice. This hospice will provide much needed palliative care services to the communities of Cavan and Monaghan.
