The death has occurred of John Wynne, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Corlough, Co. Cavan, 19th May 2026. John passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his loving friend Vera Wynne and his brother Paddy (Pa**ie). John will be sadly missed by his loving sons David and Sean, grandchildren Ryan, Diana and Tiffany, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Tuesday, May 26th, from 5pm until 7pm.
A private cremation will take place at a later stage at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

The family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion shown to John during his stay in Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan.

Out of respect for local residents, please follow the directions of the parking attendants and observe the parking restrictions around neighbouring houses when visiting Lakelands for the reposing. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The death has occurred of Maisie Mulligan (née Reilly), Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford, 21st May 2026. Maisie passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Joseph's, Dublin Road, Longford.

Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Annie, husband Paddy, daughter Maura, grandchildren Leah, baby Donna and baby Nial. Sadly missed by her loving family Margaret (Ciaran), Anna-Rose (Ciaran), Padraig (Una), Martina (Richard), Seamie (Margaret), Lisa (Raymond), Francie (Angela), Celia, Barry (Nicole), son-in-law Michael, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the home of her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Raymond, Aughnacliffe (N39 TX65), on Saturday evening from 5pm until 8pm.

Funeral on Sunday morning after 10.30am Mass in St. Colmcille's Church, Aughnacliffe, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Caroline, David, Anthony and John D thank everyone who supported them following the passing of their dear mother Greta. They appreciated the thoughtful expressions of sympathy shown at the Funeral Home, along with the flowers, cards, visits, food and messages received.

To all who travelled to mum’s funeral, and to Fr. Peter, Fr. Bijo, Fr. Martin and Fr. Andrew for the comforting Requiem Mass, sincere thanks. The family are also deeply grateful to the team at Finnegan’s Funeral Directors, Lisgrey House, the gravedigger, sacristan Marie, the parking attendants, Sgt Damien Galligan, those who stood along the road for the cortege, and to Geraldine for her beautiful singing.

The family also sincerely thank all of Greta’s dedicated carers and medical team for their kindness and care.

A Mass for your intentions will be held at Westminster Cathedral.

Greta’s Month’s Memory Mass will take place on 23rd May at 6.30pm in St. Dympna’s Church, Upper Lavey.

We, the family of the late Geraldine (Ger) Doyle, wish to sincerely thank all our family, friends and neighbours who supported us throughout this sad time. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped in the home and to those who sent Mass cards, flowers and expressions of sympathy. To all who visited the house in Drumora, attended the funeral home and Funeral Mass, we offer our sincere thanks.

A sincere thank you to Dr. McNamee and all at Killeshandra Lakeside Medical Practice, the staff of Dublin Dental Hospital, St. James’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar, for their compassion and care towards Ger.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Brian McElhinney, Fr. Gabriel Kelly and Fr. Gerry Cassidy who offered prayers for Ger in the funeral home. To Fr. Peter Casey and Fr. Gerry Comiskey, the most sincere thank you for the beautiful funeral ceremony, which reflected Ger’s character and touched all our hearts.

A sincere thank you to Cornafean GFC and Cornafean LGFA for their guard of honour. We are deeply grateful to the local community who oversaw parking at Lakelands Funeral Home and at Drumcor Church. Thank you also to the neighbours who prepared Ger’s final resting place with such care and dignity. Thank you to Mary Harwood and James Galligan, whose singing and music contributed so beautifully to the Funeral Ceremony.

Thank you to all of Ger’s colleagues in the Dental Department. We loved hearing the many stories and memories shared.

A sincere thank you to Declan Finnegan and staff for their professionalism. A special thank you to Bernard McPhillips for taking care of all the funeral arrangements, and for his guidance, support and compassion throughout.

Thank you to Marie, Tony and all the staff at the Shantully for the lovely meal following Ger’s funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation.

Predeceased by his father Charlie, brother Christy and sister Bernie. Over the years, we have been very grateful for the support shown to us by families in Arva and the surrounding areas.

Our new funeral home on Longford Street has been designed to provide a calm, comfortable and welcoming environment for families and friends at difficult times, while also giving people a place to gather together within their own community.

We are looking forward to officially opening the funeral home this Sunday and would be delighted to welcome you through our doors.
