Rose Cooney (nee Brady), Tierlahood, Stradone, Co. Cavan. Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husband Kevin, brother John and sisters Sadie, Philomena and Rita.

Deeply regretted by her loving family Mary (Sean), Geraldine (Vincent), Albert (Patricia), Norbert (Geraldine), Tom (Mary), Teresa, Pat (Mary) and John (Rose Marie). Sadly missed by her sister Teresa McConnell (Cavan) and her adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren, by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing in St. Michael’s Church, Clifferna H12 YA39 tomorrow Sunday from 3pm concluding with prayers at 5pm. Removal on Monday to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Clifferna for Funeral Mass at 12noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family, friends and close neighbours. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to Cavan Palliative Care, in care of PJ Brady, Funeral Director.

Anna Smyth, Knocknagillagh, Upper Lavey, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Saturday November 8th, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her recently departed husband Laurence (Larry), her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Peggy.

Deeply regretted by her son Feilim and daughters Patricia and Martina and sons-in-law Eugene and Liam.

Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her brother Michael and his wife Maisie, grandchildren Olivia (Eugene), Nicola, Evanne (Gavin), Dwayne (Artressa), Regina (Thomas), Karla, Dominic, Niall, Ciara, Clare, Niamh, Holly, Carrie and Aifric, great grandchildren Sofia, Jaxon, Ayda and Azayis, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakeland’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow Sunday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal from her home on Monday to arrive at St. Dympna’s Church Upper Lavey for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private please.

Seamus Ruddy, Lismullig, Poles, Co. Cavan. Monday, November 3rd 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Mary, brother P.J. and son-in-law Declan.

Beloved husband and best friend of Anna and much loved father of Martina (Clare), Louise, Niall (Clíona), Maria (Pat) and Jean (Paul). Adoring grandad of Ella, Mollie, Dylan, Dara, Orla, Alfie, Declan and Lauren. Sadly missed by his sister Vera Greenan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.

Paul Tully, Clifferna, Stradone, Co. Cavan. Sunday, October 19th, peacefully at home, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Joann and their children Conor, Shane, Daragh and Paula. Sadly missed by his parents Anthony and Rosina, brother Sean (Jenny), sister Kathryn (John), nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Lakelands tomorrow Monday from 5.30pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Tuesday to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Clifferna for Funeral Mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
