Extra clinics this week from 8-9am on Tuesday morning and Wednesday from 5-6pm to cope with the winter surge of flu.

Urgent appointments only during these clinics as triaged by our team.

Flu is the main bug around at the moment and is causing a lot of sickness!

It has spread through the community earlier this year.

It will rise and peak is expected to be unfortunately late December/ early January.

Please get your flu vaccine for you or your child asap.

Please also remember, antibiotics do not work for the flu virus unfortunately.

If you feel you have been hit by a bus, it’s likely you have the flu.

Regular paracetamol and neurofen and you should improve between day 5-8 of illness no matter what you do.

If you get worse unexpectedly or are worse than you expect from the outset, you may need hospital.

You should also not feel breathless- if so see a Doctor immediately.

Bowel screen is now for anyone aged 58-70.

Please don’t ignore this letter when it arrives in the post and complete even if feeling perfectly well!

It is hoped to extend this to anyone aged 55-74 in time.

However,
please remember, EVERY ADULT needs to report a new change in bowel habit lasting longer than 6 weeks/ passing blood etc at any age.
