As a fourth generation optometrist with thirty years in practice, Paul Connolly provides an optimal service of independent, high quality and affordable eye care to all customers. Paul is recently joined by his daughter, Aisling Connolly, a newly qualified optometrist who has introduced expanding ranges of frames, designer prescription sunglasses and modernized equipment to the practice. The standard driving screen is €20. A wide range of contact lenses are available including: soft/RGP/monthly and multi-focal with free trials available for first time buyers. A portion of the businesses profits support a farm school in Burkino Faso, one of the poorest countries in West Africa.

Our Story

Four generations of Optometrists (pictured above L-R: Aisling Connolly, Paul Connolly, Minnie Connolly and Michael Connolly).

Paul’s daughter Aisling joined Paul Connolly’s Opticians in September 2019 and is the fourth generation of opticians in the practice. Paul with over thirty years experience provides an optimal service of independent, high quality and affordable eye care to all customers. Aisling who is recently qualified brings an up to date perspective and has introduced modernized equipment, new and expanding ranges of frames and designer prescription sunglasses.

As a long established independent practice, Aisling and Paul enjoy working as an eye care team combining eye health with professional and personal service.

FREE eye examinations and FREE spectacles are available through approved Medical Card/PRSI. The standard driving screen is €15 for first time applicants (€20 for over 60’s). There is also a wide range of contact lenses including: soft, RGP, monthly, and multi-focal with FREE trials available for first time buyers. Frames are available from €35 with special offers on sunglasses. A portion of the business profits are donated monthly to a school in Burkino Faso, one of the poorest countries in West Africa.
