If you exercise and sweat like me 💦
A lot 😅
You loose a lot of electrolytes:
Sodium (Na+) - The most abundant electrolyte lost; helps maintain fluid balance and nerve/ muscle function
Chloride (CI) - Lost alongside sodium; important for fluid balance and stomach acid production
Potassium (K+) -
Important for muscle contractions and heart function
Magnesium (Mg?+) - Needed for muscle relaxation, energy production, and nerve transmission
Calcium (Ca?+) - Small amounts are lost; important for muscle contractions and bone health.
That’s why, even if you drink a lot of water, you can still feel dehydrated.
Drinking plain water replaces fluid but not the electrolytes lost through sweat.
Bottled mineral water is sourced from natural springs deep underground, where it is naturally filtered and enriched with minerals. Naturally rich in
electrolytes. Contains Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Chloride.
May not be for everyone taste though.
Coconut water is a tasty source of electrolytes.
Or you can simply add some good sea salt or Hymalayan salt, squeeze of lemon juice and a drop of honey or maple syrup for homemade electrolyte drink.
