We, the Garry Family, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during our sad loss.
We are truly thankful to everyone who travelled from near and far to offer their condolences, attend the wake and funeral, and share in our sorrow. Your presence and support brought us great comfort.
We greatly appreciate the many mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, messages, prayers, and the wonderful stories and memories shared about Mick. Our special thanks go to our cousins for their support in helping prepare the house for the wake, and to our neighbours, friends, customers and extended family who helped with refreshments, brought food, assisted with traffic, and supported us in countless thoughtful ways.
We are sincerely grateful to the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital, Medical 8 and the CDM Hub, for their compassionate care of Mick during his illness. Our thanks also to Fr. McKeever & Fr. Chambers for guidance and support throughout, and to Fr. McGettigan for his contributions during the funeral. We extend our appreciation to Charlie McClafferty, Funeral Directors, for the professional and personal care shown to our family, to the gravediggers, and to Patrick & Paul Doherty for the funeral music.
We wish to thank all who provided Guards of H onour: Letterkenny Credit Union; Letterkenny Golf Club; Kilmacrennan’s Men Shed; Donegal Motor Club and Guinness employees. Thanks also to the Mount Errigal Hotel for the meal following the funeral, and to Highland Bakery, Mac’s Mace, County Dry Cleaners, and PGIM for their generous contributions. It is impossible to thank everyone individually; please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. Thanks also for the generous donations to the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.
Gentle and kind, Mick was a man of integrity, resolve, and quiet strength. His love and guidance shaped our lives, and his memory will remain a light in our hearts forever. We will always miss him. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on 5th September, in St. Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan (F92 VX23).
Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann, tá cumha orainn ina dhiaidh agus braithimid uainn go mór é
