Tommy's remains will be reposing in Eternal Light Chapel of rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, (F92 XE35) on Wednesday 8th of October from 3.30pm - 5.30pm followed by removal to Saint Eunan's Cathedral, to arrive 6pm & repose overnight. Funeral mass at 11am on Thursday morning 9th of October followed by interment in Leck cemetery.

We, the family of Kevin McCallion, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all of those who supported and sympathised with us on the recent, sad passing of our dear husband, father, and grandfather.

To our extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues; your love, support and understanding during this difficult time and particularly during the course of Kevin’s illness is very much appreciated. To the countless number of people who cooked meals whilst we were caring for him, it helped us immeasurably. To all of Kevin’s friends and family who visited and supported him during his illness, your time and presence gave him great strength, it meant so much to him and to all of us.

To everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent sympathy cards, mass cards and flowers, to those who left messages of condolence online, and to those who made donations in Kevin’s memory to the Donegal Hospice, sincere thanks for your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Much appreciation goes to everyone, including local businesses who assisted during the wake, made tea and supplied food and refreshments. A special thanks to An Grianán Hotel for their kindness and for providing refreshments after the funeral.

We would like to thank the many healthcare professionals who cared for Kevin over the course of his illness. Sincere thanks goes to the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital and the staff of the Donegal Hospice.
A special acknowledgment to the staff of Castle Medical Practice and Healthwise Pharmacy Newtowncunningham and the nurses of the Community Intervention Team, who were always so caring, helpful and kind to Kevin, and to all of us.

Many thanks to Fr. Philip Kemmy for his support and prayers. Kevin really appreciated your frequent visits over the last two years.

We, the Garry Family, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during our sad loss.

We are truly thankful to everyone who travelled from near and far to offer their condolences, attend the wake and funeral, and share in our sorrow. Your presence and support brought us great comfort.

We greatly appreciate the many mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, messages, prayers, and the wonderful stories and memories shared about Mick. Our special thanks go to our cousins for their support in helping prepare the house for the wake, and to our neighbours, friends, customers and extended family who helped with refreshments, brought food, assisted with traffic, and supported us in countless thoughtful ways.

We are sincerely grateful to the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital, Medical 8 and the CDM Hub, for their compassionate care of Mick during his illness. Our thanks also to Fr. McKeever & Fr. Chambers for guidance and support throughout, and to Fr. McGettigan for his contributions during the funeral. We extend our appreciation to Charlie McClafferty, Funeral Directors, for the professional and personal care shown to our family, to the gravediggers, and to Patrick & Paul Doherty for the funeral music.

We wish to thank all who provided Guards of H onour: Letterkenny Credit Union; Letterkenny Golf Club; Kilmacrennan’s Men Shed; Donegal Motor Club and Guinness employees. We, Gavin’s parents, Annette & Martin together with his siblings Gary, Brian, Shane, Martin, Elaine, Edel and the extended family would like to acknowledge the many heartfelt expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness following our sad loss of Gavin who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on 19th July. To all those who attended the wake & funeral, sent sympathy cards, mass cards, letters & flowers and messages of condolences and to all who remembered Gavin in their prayers & those who made donations in Gavin’s memory to the Oncology ward in Letterkenny University Hospital / Donegal Hospice. We are truly grateful.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, friends and neighbours and work colleagues for their love and support at this difficult time. To all those who helped during the wake, made tea, brought food and refreshments including businesses who supplied food and to those who helped with parking and traffic flow. To An Garda Síochána for their help with traffic management on the day of the funeral.

Thank you for all the stories and memories shared, they have been a great comfort to us and will always be remembered.
We would like to thank the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital, especially the doctors and wonderful nurses and healthcare assistants in the Oncology ward for their dedication compassionate & exceptional care & kindness shown to Gavin during his time spent there. Gavin got to know all the staff on the ward. To the domestic staff and to the catering staff who not only brought food & refreshments but friendship too.
Thank you to the staff in Donegal Hospice for their professionalism and wonderful care given to Gavin in his short time spent there. To the staff of Beaumont Hospital for their exceptional care. To the staff of Castle Medical Practice Newtowncunningham & Healthwise Pharmacy thank you.

Sincere thanks to Gavin’s colleagues from the Central Library for their guard of honour on the day of the funeral. It was a warm & lovely gesture.

Our deepest gratitude to Fr Philip Kemmy, Fr Ciaran Harkin, Monsignor Kevin Gillespie, Fr Francis Ferry, Fr Shane Gallagher, Fr Peter Kabarenge and the many priests who visited and prayed with Gavin.
