The family of the late Jane McGarvey, Ballykeeran, Kilmacrennan, wish to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with and supported them in their recent sad loss.
A very special thank you to our extended family, numerous friends, and neighbours.
Sincere thanks to all who attended the wake and supplied food. Thank you to all who helped in the house during the wake and assisted with traffic.
To those who attended the funeral and travelled long distances, your support was of immense comfort.
To those who sent sympathy cards, telephoned, gave wreaths and flowers, and made donations to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Donegal MS Branch in lieu of flowers, these were very much appreciated.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr Kevin Murphy, Consultant Neurologist; Dr Brian McColgan, GP; Letterkenny Doctors; Charlene Crawford, IMND Nurse; Carmel Browne, Palliative Care Nurse; the MS Nursing Staff, Sligo University Hospital; the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital; the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Departments at Ramelton Community Hospital and Beaumont Hospital; the staff of Ruth’s Pharmacy, especially Danielle; NowDoc; and the Letterkenny Ambulance Service for their care and support.

A special heartfelt thank you to Jane’s brother John McDaid and Nora McGee, Dromore, Letterkenny; her sister Margaret Coll and Seamus, Falcarragh; sisters-in-law Sheila Logue, Carrigart, and Margaret McDaid, Ramelton.
Her dear friends Kathleen McGarvey, Susan Shields, Maureen McCann, Christine Friel, Ann Harkin, and Nora McGee.
To all Jane’s adored nieces and nephews, a heartfelt thank you for your love and support.
A heartfelt thank you to the Young at Heart Group, Kilmacrennan, for their support and friendship. To her friends at the MS Group, Milford, the Donegal MS Branch, and to all who organised and facilitated outings over the years.
A special thank you to Ciarán, Rose, Maria, and Jenna for providing such beautiful music at Jane’s Funeral Mass. A special thank you to all who so thoughtfully took part in the Prayers of the Faithful, Readings, and Presentation of the Gifts at Jane’s Funeral Mass.
We are indebted to Charlie McClaffery, Funeral Directors, for the efficient, professional, compassionate, and dignified manner in which they carried out their duties.
Thank you to The Lagoon, Termon, and their staff for accommodating us and providing refreshments after the funeral.
We have taken great care not to omit anyone, but if we have, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude to everyone who helped in any way or eased our sorrow during these very difficult days.
Jane’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan, on Thursday 8th January at 7pm.
