The increase in costs in each segment of our chiropody and skin care activities causes the need to adjust the price list of services and products offered by Chiropody and Skin Care Clinic. We would like to inform you that this change will take place from 1st January 2024. By analysing prices and costs, we tried to ensure that the announced change would be as little as possible for our patients.
From the 1st December 2023 we will charge a late cancellation fee of €25 (late cancellation = less than 24h prior to the treatment). We will introduce as well a 50% non refundable deposit on booking for all people who already had 1 no show or late cancellations (less than 24h prior to the treatment).
I a. booked up for weeks ahead where clients have to wait long time, and when I get very last minute cancellations that are impossible to fill up , I feel , it’s not fair either on the other clients or me.
I respect all my patients and I adapt my time to their needs, I give up longer sleep in the morning, I give up leaving work early, I give up my free time for shopping, my lunch time, my own time that I could spend with my family or on my hobby. If someone, for any reason, cancels their visit a few hours or even minutes before the scheduled time or doesn't even notify me and just doesn't show up, it shows a lack of respect for me and my time. In such a case, I am forced to charge a fee for late cancellation and loss of my income, and in the future, if this person wants to book a treatment, he/she will first have to pay a non-refundable deposit, which will be deducted further from the price of the treatment or purchased products. This is my protection against loss of income and daily expenses incurred.
Also, as most people know, I do not have a payment card terminal, I accept cash or Revolut transfer, I issue invoices for all services. If the person who received the service from me does not have cash to pay, he/she will have to leave something as a deposit with me until cash will be delivered. My trust was already destroyed. So far, several people have received service, they pretended they are going to an ATM to get money and never came back to me with the money. In one word, they received the service for free. Unfortunately, I am not a charitable institution, I am responsible for paying a rent for the premises, commercial rates fees, taxes, VAT, insurance, purchasing materials, participating in trainings, purchasing products, servicing devices, paying for heating, ESB, petrol to get to work and from work, etc, etc.. Therefore, I am not able to provide free service.
