Thanks to our members who attended National Services Day - Ireland in Galway, We were honoured to take part and catch up with our colleagues from our sister branch Galway Red Cross and other agencies. A great day was had by all between the showers.

Today wrapped up a busy week for us at Claremorris. A big thank you to Rose, Laura and Heather who gave up their time all this week providing medical cover at the 100th Connemara Pony Show in Clifden. Well done to all the competitors and winners over the week.

A busy Saturday in Claremorris where Pat, Collette and Sarah headed to the Connacht Gaa centre of excellence to cover a football blitz and Rose and Kieran were in Cashel cover a triathlon. Well done and thanks to everyone

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Bríd Wynne and her family for their generous donation of Richie’s first aid training equipment to Claremorris Red Cross. Richie was a dedicated member of our organization, and his commitment to helping others continues to inspire us.
We really appreciate your kindness and we are proud to carry on Richie’s legacy. This contribution will help us train many more volunteers and save lives in our community.

A busy bank holiday weekend has just passed where we had Emt and Paramedic led crews out all weekend providing medical cover at a number of events . Thanks to everyone who gave up there time

Some good advice from the National Ambulance Service (NAS) during this spell of hot weather ☀️☀️

With a status yellow high temperature warning in place over the weekend, it’s important to watch out for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Make sure to:
✅Drink plenty of cold drinks, especially when exercising
✅Take cool baths or showers
✅ Wear light coloured, loose clothing
✅ Sprinkle water over your skin or clothes
✅ Avoid the sun between 11am and 3pm
✅ Avoid excess alcohol
✅ Avoid extreme exercise
