As a PT and online coach certified in nutrition , one of the biggest things I teach clients is this: food quality matters.

Yes, protein matters. But the quality of the foods you eat has a huge impact on your energy, recovery, mood, digestion, sleep, and long-term results👌

Choosing whole, nutrient-dense foods more often means giving your body what it actually needs to perform and recover:
🥩 Quality protein for muscle repair
🥦 Vitamins & minerals to support health
🥑 Healthy fats for hormones and brain function, and these are so important coming into the perimenopause stage!!
🍚 Carbs that fuel performance and recovery

This doesn’t mean eating “perfectly” or cutting out foods you enjoy. It means building a foundation of real, nourishing foods the majority of the time so your body can thrive😎

Your body is your engine — the better the fuel, the better it performs. 💪

Ask yourself: Are you eating just to fill up, or are you eating to fuel your goals?

🌿 Don’t underestimate Herbs & Spices 🌶️😍

As a PT and online coach, I’m always talking about protein, steps, training, and recovery… but one thing that gets massively overlooked?

Herbs & spices.
They do WAY more than make food taste good 👇

✅ Help reduce inflammation
Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and garlic are linked with anti-inflammatory properties — useful when you’re training hard and trying to recover well.
✅ Support digestion
Ginger, peppermint, fennel, and cumin may help with bloating and digestion, especially if you struggle after meals.
✅ Can help blood sugar control
Cinnamon has been studied for its role in supporting blood sugar regulation — meaning steadier energy levels.
✅ Packed with antioxidants
Oregano, rosemary, paprika, cloves, and many others are full of compounds that help combat oxidative stress.
✅ Make healthy food taste unreal
The easiest way to stick to a nutrition plan? Make your meals enjoyable. Herbs and spices turn “boring healthy food” into meals you actually look forward to.

Simple swaps:
🌿 Add cinnamon to oats or yoghurt
🌿 Use turmeric + black pepper in rice or curries
🌿 Garlic, paprika, oregano & chilli on potatoes/chicken
🌿 Fresh herbs in salads, eggs, or wraps

You don’t need fancy supplements to improve your nutrition. Sometimes the basics are doing more heavy lifting than people realise 💪

40 loading… and we’re doing this properly. 📸💪

In a few months, I’ll be stepping in front of the camera for a photoshoot to mark turning 40 🤩🤩

Not because I’m chasing perfection.�Not because I think you need abs to feel worthy.�But because I want to practice what I preach.

As a PT & online coach, I talk a lot about consistency, discipline, balance, and building a body that supports your life — not controls it👌

So I thought… why not document the process?

This prep isn’t about extremes. No crash diets. No punishing cardio. No “all or nothing” mentality.
It’s about:�✅ Training with purpose�✅ Eating to fuel performance & recovery�✅ Staying accountable�✅ Showing what’s realistic when life, work, stress, and family still exist 🫠🫣

At 40, the goal isn’t to look 20.

The goal is to feel strong, healthy, confident, and prove that age is never the excuse we think it is.

I’ll be sharing the highs, the hard days, the mindset, the nutrition, and everything in between over the next few months

Some days the motivation is there. Some days it isn’t🫠

That’s when I look back at these photos and remind myself what consistency looks like💕

As a PT and Online coach people see the knowledge, the plans, the advice — but they don’t always see the days you’re tired, doubting yourself, or just not feeling it. Truth is, I need reminders too.

This isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about proving to myself that discipline works, hard work compounds, and showing up matters — even when you don’t feel 100%.

Progress leaves clues. Sometimes you just have to look back to remember how far you’ve come🥰
