We had such a lovely afternoon at the Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society annual Christmas event in Hillview where we enjoyed Mass, a delicious dinner and great music. Sincere thanks to all involved and who went to so much effort to provide our residents with a really enjoyable afternoon.

The table is set! The presents are wrapped and the tree lights are twinkling. Our chef has been busy in the kitchen ! All we need now are our very special guests , our volunteers on this our first Volunteers Christmas Tea Party!
These amazing people gift their time each week and bring their unique talents with them to enrich the lives of our wonderful residents through music, song, story ,crafting and gardening.
Without them our busy programme would not we possible.
We cannot thank them all enough and we look forward to a fantastic New Year ahead.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful residents who have crafted since September last and whose fantastic work was a huge hit at the Kilcash Craft Fair this weekend. A sincere thanks to both The Friends of Rathkeevan volunteers and the & District Wheelchair Society volunteers who helped Claire and myself ( Mary) man the stall and sell raffle tickets for our hamper. The money is still coming in and our craft shop along with tickets for our in house hamper will be on the go for another couple of weeks. We look forward to sharing our final figure when all our fundraising effort wraps up before Christmas. All proceeds to the Wheelchair Society

All the crafting is finished and our residents stall is all set up and ready to go for the this weekend.Sat 12 to 6pm and Sunday 10 to 4pm.
Feeling so proud of our crafters and volunteers. All monies raised will go to the Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society who will be helping out also this weekend.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Fr Patrick and the wonderful young people from the Holy Family Mission at Glencomeragh House who helped us celebrate a very special Mass for the Holy Souls. During the Mass, when we prayed for our loved ones who have passed, we particularily remembered those residents who passed this year and honoured them with a candlelight procession and time for remembrance.May their souls and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in eternal peace.
Our residents enjoyed refreshments afterwards with our guests.

Exciting times !!!!!
Our crafters are so busy completing projects for the Kilcash Craft Fair. All the funds raised will be donated to Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society , a very worthy group.

Crafting here in Rathkeevan has become a team effort to say the least with lots of people working behind the scenes supporting our residents. From donations of wool and other crafting items to creating fabulous pieces for us to sell at the craft fair.
A huge thanks to the Haide family for these beautiful handmade cribs and baby blankets which will be on sale soon.
We are so grateful ❤️

Our crafters are busy prepping for the craft fair in Kilcash Dec 6th and 7th. All proceeds going to Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society who we rely on for outings.
Sincere thanks to our volunteers Helen,Liz and Celine for all the support ,instruction and encouragement they show every week at our arts and craft classes.
We couldn't do it without ye.

The Joy of Living
Activities Programme
Is excited to announce, on behalf of our crafters , that we will be participating in this year's craft fayre in Kilcash . We have our space booked for December 6th and 7th. We will be partnering up with Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society who will support us in running the event and all proceeds will go to this fabulous organisation who are always on hand to bring our residents on outings throughout the year.
So far this year we have been on two outings to Cahir, 'Music in the Afternoon' event in Minella, an wonderful afternoon hosted by the very special community in Glencomeragh, outing to St Olivers for Mass , an educational trip to Ormonde Castle Cahir and most recently our magical afternoon in Ardfinnan meeting Fr.Michael Twoomey who shared the wonderful story and blessings of St Carlo Acutis.
Our crafters are busy, the knitting needles are clicking, the glue and scissors are working overtime and all we need is your support either in Kilcash or in house here in Rathkeevan to help our residents raise their own funds to support this worthy cause.
Sincere thanks to you all for the support you have shown for the new activities programme over the last six months. All of our work is made possible of course by our 'Friends of Rathkeevan' volunteer group. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. You are doing such important and valuable work.
