Rathkeevan’s activities programme is proud to announce that our wonderful residents will hold and arts and crafts exhibition in Clonmel Library running from May 11th to May 23rd.
We invite you to drop in any day and take a look at what our crafters , artists and knitters have been working over the past few months.
We are so proud of them all !
Their work is supported by our fantastic volunteer group who make it all possible.

If any of you have old China sets, old tablecloths (cream or white) or cake stands that are in the back of the press not used and you would be happy to donate to our Activities Programme to use for our residents tea parties we would be very appreciative.

Our first outing of the season and what a fantastic outing it was !
We took a trip to the Tipperary Museum in Clonmel where we explored their Memory Box called Hearth and Home. It was so much fun with lots of reminiscing and laughter followed by tea and cake and a singsong to round off the afternoon. Our sincere thanks to Stephen and staff of the museum for helping to set up,to our volunteers Liz, Hylda and Carol for supporting us. Thanks also to family members who joined in the fun and of course a huge thanks to the Clonmel & District Wheelchair Society and Philip Meaney for making the trip possible.
We are off to a great start and looking forward to our next outing already.

We enjoyed a welcome cup of tea this afternoon after a really fun game of bingo. All made possible of course with the support of our wonderful volunteers Catherine and Una. Full houses ,prizes galore and great banter was enjoyed by all.

A lovely afternoon at our knitting club. Our ladies are busy working on a special project. The work on the Izzy Teddy Bear Dolls is advancing. These beautiful dolls will be heading to the Shoe Box Appeal next Christmas for children in need. Our sincere thanks to our volunteers Jane and Mary who make this class possible.

What a special morning here in Rathkeevan!!
We had the pleasure of hosting the chairman of the Clonmel Wheelchair Society Philip Meaney and guests on the occasion of our residents presenting the society with a fundraising cheque for 2,339 euros. Our fantastic residents crafted, knitted and painted from September to Christmas last and raised 1,839 euros at our in house craft shop and at the Kilcash Christmas Fair. This was all made possible through the commitment of our wonderful volunteers.The owners of Rathkeevan generously added a further 500 euros in recognition of the wonderful work both of our residents and volunteers and of course by the Wheelchair Society who take us on outings throughout the year. Of course we all enjoyed a chat and cup of tea afterwards. Claire donated a bunch of daffodils from our garden for the upcoming ICA event in Minella Hotel.Sincere thanks to photographer Derek Fanning for joining us to take professional photographs which we look forward to posting for you soon.
