Who’s on tunes?

From a staunch Gym Bunny to a Backyard Ultra runner, Liam came to us with one goal: keep his size, test his limits, and see how far he could go.

Minimal long-distance background, and being a big lump of a man, the odds were definitely stacked against him, but 11 hours later he pushed well past his limits.

For anyone who doesn’t know the backyard ultras, it consists of 100s of runners lining up at the same time, with one 6.7k loop to finish in an hour. You go on the hour, every hour and it’s last man standing. Only one person can win. These events literally go on for 2-4 days 😅

It isn’t just about fitness - it was pacing, fueling, recovery between hours, and most of all, mindset. Getting back to the line every single hour.

Plenty learned, plenty to improve, and he’s already looking at the next one.

We are delighted to be able to work with all different type of athletes across all the different sports.

GAA Programs ⚽️

Stephen has been with us for several months now. The first 3 months was about getting back into shape and to be ready for the upcoming season. 🏃

The second phase we had one main goal, and that was to stay injury-free while competing in Australia through a heavy schedule of matches, training and long hours at work.

We focused on managing his training load properly, keeping his body fresh, and putting the right protocols in place before and after sessions.

At the same time, we dialled in his nutrition and body composition - dropping weight steadily without sacrificing performance or energy on the pitch.

The result?
His longest stint in years without needing physio… and he played every game this season 💪

6 Weeks Youth Development with Cahir GAA ✅

Learning the foundations - squats, lunges, Hinges etc
We had the kids demonstrating what they learned the last 6 weeks all performing each exercise in a circle, which was brilliant to see💪🏼
We the went onto sprinting, reaction drills, bear crawls, backward races for a bit of fun finishing off 🙌🏼

Delighted that we are once again partnering with Tipp GAA for the 2026 Senior Hurling & Football campaigns 💪

We’ve been proud to support both senior teams along with squads from Under-21 and Minor in both codes for South based players over the past few years, and we’re delighted to be back on board again this season.

Wishing everyone involved the very best of luck in the league and championship ahead. Looking forward to another big year 🏑🏐

Busy weeks done right 💪⚡️

In the early stages of our coaching careers, we’re very grateful to be able to work with so many different age groups - male and female - each week 🙌🏼

• First up, Tipp U20s getting some reaction work in. Adding games like this is all about a bit of fun and getting the lads switched on before the main session

• Youth Development sessions rolling nicely U12–U13s on the Astro working through basic movement patterns and getting exposed to the demands of the game. Then U15–U17s putting in quality work on hinge patterns and the basics of strength in the gym. Big improvements over the last 3 weeks, lads really buying into the process 📈 Howie’s pogo hops are improving also 💪🏼

• Finishing off with our Camogie U14 coaching. Great start this week, with the girls being introduced to strength, isometric and plyometric movements 🙌🏼

Momentum building, and we’re hoping to add more teams into the schedule soon 💪🏼

🏋️‍♂️ Weekly Coaching Roundup

It’s been another big week for us across all areas of the business.

Alongside Pro Recovery, which is starting to pick up again for the new year clients coming in for ice baths, compression boots, and sauna, our coaching side has been in full swing.

🏃‍♂️ Tipperary U20s

We were up in Dublin with the Tipperary U20s for challenge game this week. Good to see boys implement the work that has being done so far.

This week we were also able to get a training session in, followed by a full gym session, where we focused on strength work, movement quality, and form

⚽ Youth Development

We’ve officially started back our Youth Development Programme in Cahir, it’s been brilliant to get going again.

We’re currently working with 60+ young athletes, split across age groups:

Older lads:
• Training programmes
• Strength & athletic development

Younger lads:
• Basic movement patterns
• Teamwork, footwork, speed, and plyometrics
• Building strong foundations for long-term GAA development

• Work in secondary & primary schools

Huge credit to this couple over the last 12 weeks 🔥

The male, coming from a GAA background, needed a more sports-specific approach but we still worked on body composition, running sessions, and dedicated rehab.
He dropped weight, added strength, and even hit a few PBs along the way 💥

The female, never missed a beat. Showed up, stayed consistent, and got the work done every single time 🙌 even when she had to get a minor knee procedure right in the middle of the program, which meant we had to adjust training to help with rehabilitation, it never stopped her getting into the gym and working on something.

One of her goals was to be able to do a pull up and went from not being not able to do a single pull up unassisted, to doing sets of 3. 💪🏼

Two different programs. Two different sets of macros and portions. Both helped each other stay on track.
One shared mindset and their results speak for themselves.

Buzzing to get them back in January and keep the momentum rolling.

Why is the Off-Season important?

The Off-Season is usually a minefield for so many athletes!

Some think it's ok to put the feet up and enjoy the break from team training "ah sure il get fit in pre season" attitude!

And the smart athletes know this is where you get a chance to set yourself up for the season to put your best foot forward 💪🏻

What you can achieve in this period:

✅ Set standards for the year - How you train decides how you will perform! Work-rate off the pitch can shape your entire 2026!

✅ Address any injuries or niggles - Can you guarantee a year without injuries no but if you address them early you give yourself the best chance!

✅ Address your weak areas in 2025 - Did you feel unfit? Feel like you weren't strong enough? Now is the time to address that!

✅ Return ready to rock not rebuild - Your goal is to arrive at team training in 2026 prepared to train not using it to get fit! When you show up conditioned and sharp you then can focused on performance, not survival!

We are absolutely delighted to be joining the Tipperary U20 football set-up as S&C coaches this season. It’s a massive honour for both of us, not just to be involved, but to be able to bring our own experience as players and now as coaches into a programme we genuinely care about.

We’re really looking forward to working with the players, management and backroom team, and helping create a professional environment that supports these lads as they develop into future senior players. The goal is simple: make them better athletes, better footballers, and better prepared for what comes next.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more of the journey, how gym work transfers to the pitch, the challenges that come with S&C with this age group and how the both of us will be sharing the load throughout the season.

We’re proud to be part of this group, excited to get started, and hopefully looking forward to a successful season 🔵🟡

Off-Season Programs 💪🏼

Over the past few years, we have worked with players at all levels - underage, ladies and men’s - helping them build strength, and go into each season feeling fitter, faster and more confident.

The same pattern shows up every year
The players who take this period seriously always start the next season a step ahead. They move better, recover faster, and can handle higher training loads when the pitch sessions ramp up again.

Right now, your focus shouldn’t just be on “staying in shape.”
It’s about building the base that will carry you through pre-season and beyond.

A good off-season plan should:
✅ Rebuild your strength and address weak links that caused niggles during the season
✅ Rebuild your aerobic engine so you’re not playing catch-up in January
✅ Keep you moving well with mobility and movement prep
✅ Manage load properly so you recover and avoid burnout before pre-season even starts
